Onboard the Villa Yachting firm with the sisters Carolina and Michela Villa

The two sisters Carolina and Michela Villa are preparing to celebrate their first 20 years in the large yachting business, a sector in which they are active with SCS Yachting and Villa Yachting today.

The origins date back to 2003 when Ship & Crew Services was founded, as a ship agent and crew management agency, which over the years has progressively specialized not only in merchant ships but also and especially in the yachting industry, becoming a full-agency and expanding its range of services.

The group has grown to the extent that in 2018 it opened a dedicated division called SCS Yachting.

About a year ago, the group also started a new segment related to the buying, selling, and chartering of yachts and superyachts under the Villa Yachting brand, activity also under the control of the Villa family.

Today, Villa Yachting and SCS Yachting offer a sphere of services ranging from brokerage, maritime agency, and the provision of flag registration services, the yachtsman’s telematics desk, crew search, selection and management, maritime brokerage, and administrative, tax and customs consulting.

Since the very beginning the company helmed by the Villa sisters has been affiliated with the genoa-based association Assagenti, of which Carolina Villa is currently president of the yacht commission, and since 2018 it has been a member of Genova for Yachting, another local association representing Genoa’s professional cluster and bringing together more than 50 companies active in the sectors of services, marinas, shipyards, technologies and professionals.

In addition to its professional commitment to the blue economy, Villa Yachting also offers “onshore” assistance with a Luxury Real Estate business segment dedicated to the purchase, sale and management of luxury properties.
