Onboard technology and design: integrated audio systems on Custom Line yachts
Videoworks takes care of the insertion of tailor-made acoustic solutions for the Navetta 38 and Custom Line 50 models of the Ferretti Group

The integration of Bang & Olufsen audio systems aboard Ferretti Group's Custom Line yachts is the result of a collaboration focused on high performance and superior design. Videoworks, a company specializing in the design and integration of AV/IT, security, and automation systems for luxury yachts, oversaw the integration of these acoustic solutions throughout the onboard spaces, preserving the aesthetics of the interiors. As the company explains in a press release, the initiative combines the heritage of Danish design with the excellence of Italian shipbuilding to offer an advanced multimedia experience.
As a certified Bang & Olufsen partner, Videoworks' work, in addition to installing the devices, included complete harmonization with the complex technological ecosystems of the onboard AV/IT flows. This tailored approach allows for seamless management of the connectivity and streaming capabilities required for music and video playback, while keeping the technology discreetly integrated with the surrounding architecture.
The project specifically involved two models from the Ferretti Group range: the Custom Line Navetta 38 and the Custom Line 50. The Custom Line Navetta 38 is a custom-made displacement vessel measuring 38,76 meters in length, 8,00 meters in width, and displacing 299 GT. For the first units delivered at the beginning of the year, including the M/Y Telli in April 2024, the technological configuration for the main living areas included the Beosound Theatre soundbar and the Beolab 19 subwoofer.
The Custom Line 50, on the other hand, is an all-aluminum displacement superyacht measuring 49,90 meters in length and 9,60 meters in width, with a displacement of less than 500 GT. The design was finalized in September 2024. Featuring four decks, a master suite located forward on the upper deck and a 120-square-meter beach club on the main deck, this model has undergone a targeted customization in the upper deck saloon. At the owner's request, the living space has been equipped with Beolab 28 speakers and a 77-inch Beovision Harmony television, optimizing both visual impact and acoustic performance.
A key aspect of the project, Videoworks' press release highlights, involved the development of finishes and color schemes, created in close collaboration with the Ferretti Group's teams of architects and interior designers. Using Bang & Olufsen's advanced configurator, the products were adapted to match the material and stylistic palette of the spaces, transforming the multimedia devices into true elements of the spatial narrative. As Videoworks Yachting Sales Manager Giovanni Varone emphasized upon completion of the project, the integration demonstrates how acoustic excellence and iconic design can harmoniously coexist in the high-end yachting sector, blending craftsmanship and aesthetics into an integrated onboard experience.
