The Central Adriatic Port Authority announced that its Management Committee also approved the awarding of a state-owned maritime area in the port of Ortona, following a comparative procedure, to Palumbo Superyachts srl, a shipbuilding company. The state-owned land, covering 13.048 square meters, including 900 square meters of water, has been awarded for a twenty-year term.

Last February, the Palumbo Superyachts Group itself announced the acquisition of the same concession in Ortona, which "will be intended to strengthen the shipbuilding activities of the Isa Yachts, Columbus Yachts, Extra Yachts, and Mondomarine brands, providing a fundamental asset for expanding the logistics and production capabilities of the Superyachts Division."

The shipyard explained that the selected area, with direct access to the sea and a slipway, and located in a port of primary importance for the Adriatic, allows it to support the entire construction, outfitting, and logistics management cycle of large vessels.

"The choice of Ortona reflects a specific industrial vision aimed at enhancing an area historically linked to metal shipbuilding. Thanks to the presence of a well-established commercial port and a supply chain specialized in metal carpentry and steel processing, the new hub perfectly complements Palumbo Superyachts' technical expertise in the construction of steel and aluminum yachts," the pleasure boat builder announced.
