Nautical and Land: "Magra Net" Launched for Sustainable Development of the River District
Supported by Navigo, the business network will be led by Matteo Magni

'Magra Net', a business network supported by Navigo, has been officially established, bringing together nautical and service companies and economic operators operating in the Magra River area.
The initiative's goal is to create a coordinated development model focused on environmental sustainability, technological innovation, and the enhancement of the local supply chain. This model can overcome fragmented management of activities and synergistically address the district's challenges and opportunities. Matteo Magni, a well-established figure in the area's nautical sector, has been appointed to lead this new network.
Magra Net's work, specifically, will focus on a series of interventions aimed at redefining the river's role as an economic and environmental axis. These initiatives will involve the environmental management of the waterway, with coordinated planning of excavation and maintenance works, and the introduction of technological innovations in recreational boating processes. At the same time, the network intends to promote experiential tourism by connecting river activities to the historic villages of the hinterland, while also supporting vocational training programs to promote youth employment.
Projects include the construction of sustainable docks and piers, the development of digital platforms for river traffic management, and the promotion of cultural and tourism events. In this process, Navigo will act as a strategic partner, providing the technical support, international relations, and expertise necessary to implement the innovation and internationalization processes of the supply chain.
Pietro Angelini, director of Navigo, emphasized that the creation of Magra Net represents an important decision by local businesses, which are choosing to share objectives to build a sustainable development strategy. According to Angelini, the integration of the nautical industry, environmental protection, and the involvement of local communities can serve as an innovative model of cooperation.
The initial phase of the project will cover the areas of Ameglia, Sarzana, Arcola, Vezzano Ligure, Santo Stefano di Magra, and Luni, with the prospect of extending its scope to neighboring municipalities on the Tuscan coast.
The network's business network includes the following local businesses: AE Service, Ar-Nav, Bibi-Marina, Azzurra Srl, Camping River Srl, Dn di Nesci Davide, Eurocolor 2000 Srl, Darsena Garbini di Paolo Garbini, Marina del Ponte di Grandi Stefania, Dario, Armando & CSAS, Metalcost Srl, Pagliarini Group Srl, Sanlorenzo Spa, SITI. Srl (Marina 3B), and the Levante Coop service company. The Margra Net management committee is composed of President Matteo Magni, Manolo Cacciatori, Angelo Cosini, Giovanni Lorenzo Forceri, and Errico Riggio.
