Yacht manufacturer Wider has acquired OceanWorld as a shareholder (part of the holding company Wider Luxembourg S.à.r.l.), establishing "a strategic partnership for global growth." The announcement states that "OceanWorld Group's entry into Wider's share capital marks the beginning of a new phase of international expansion." The agreement, signed in 2019, provides for a planned gradual entry, which will be completed by the end of 2026. The transaction was finalized through a capital increase entirely subscribed by OceanWorld and is intended to "provide new financial resources to support the company's ambitious business plan, aimed at increasing the brand's internationalization and expanding its product range."

Marcello Maggi, member of the board of Wider Luxembourg S.à.rl, commented: "This is not just a financial partnership, but a synergy of purpose. OceanWorld is a partner that firmly believes in our growth path and the uniqueness of our products." Lydia Pascarelli, CEO of OceanWorld Group, stated: "We have closely followed the shipyard's evolution and look forward to supporting the brand's global development. We believe Wider is well-positioned to become a benchmark in luxury yachting."

The statement finally states that "the industrial plan envisages further development of the range and expansion of the global sales network, maintaining strong roots in the Marche region but with an eye on the major global nautical hubs. The agreement is part of a collaboration between Wider and OceanWorld that began in 2025 with the unveiling, at the Monaco Yacht Show, of the Oceans Yachts brand and the Oceans 47, the first model developed in collaboration with Vripack Design Studio."

Founded in 2010, Wider is a pioneering shipyard in the application of serial hybrid propulsion systems. With a production presence on the Adriatic coast, the Fano headquarters is dedicated to serial production, while the Venice shipyard is dedicated to the construction of full-custom steel and aluminum superyachts and the Wilder range. The first WiderCat 92, the Wilder 60, and, more recently, the WiderCat 76 were launched in 2024.

OceanWorld Group is a UAE-based company active in sales and services throughout the Middle East and surrounding areas, focusing on marine services, shipbuilding, and management. Its network includes Sunseeker Gulf, Galeon Yachts, and Pearl Yachts (the official distributor for these brands throughout the region), DMCCCO (a company active in nautical manufacturing and service in the United Arab Emirates), Clean Seas Yacht Care (a premium nautical services company dedicated to preserving the performance and aesthetics of luxury vessels), Eastwind Gulf (a yacht brokerage, construction, charter, and management company both in the Middle East and globally), and yachtplayground.com (the official distributor of Yachtbeach premium platforms and inflatable multi-docks).
