Camber Yacht Design updates Phoenix: the concept grows to 47 meters and becomes full beam.
The Bologna-based studio presents the technical evolution of the trideck: the layout of the main and upper decks has been optimised, keeping the tonnage below 500 GT.
Camber Yacht Design has announced a series of technical updates that bring the Phoenix concept to a new stage of development. Compared to the original version, the superyacht's overall length has increased by one meter, reaching 47 meters. The increase in size, explains the designer, was managed to optimize onboard habitability and meet the demands of a clientele oriented towards more generous volumes, while keeping the naval architecture within the strategic limit of 500 GT.
The most significant change concerns the redistribution of space on the main decks. A full-beam configuration has been adopted on the main deck, allowing for the full 9,2-meter beam of the hull to be utilized, thus increasing the surface area of the saloon and owner's suite. The upper deck has been redesigned in walk-around mode, a choice that promotes fluid and uninterrupted circulation along the exterior walkways, improving the livability of the outdoor spaces and the operational management of guest and crew flows.
The distinctive features of the aft cockpit remain unchanged, extending over 100 square meters thanks to the fold-down terraces that create a vast beach club area at water's edge. As for interior space, the 499 GT can accommodate ten guests and a crew of nine, with the option of stowing tenders and water toys in the bow area.
In terms of performance, the project confirms the solidity of the Italian platform chosen by Carmelo Marco Bernardi's studio. Equipped with two 1.450 hp engines, Phoenix is capable of a cruising speed of 12 knots, reaching a top speed of 15 knots. Particularly noteworthy is the superyacht's range of over 4.000 nautical miles, allowing it to sail transatlantic routes.
With this update, Camber Yacht Design emphasizes, Phoenix confirms its identity as a yacht designed for long-distance navigation, its timeless aesthetics and volumetric solutions typical of higher-class vessels.
