Tykun XII, the new 12,7-meter super tender from the Med Group, with a speed of over 50 knots.

The first unit is already under construction at a shipyard in the Northern Adriatic. The Tykun XII, a 12,7-meter tender developed by Gruppo Med under the Tykun brand, will arrive at the 2026 Monaco Yacht Show with the stated goal of replicating the success achieved by its predecessor, the Tykun X, at Port Hercule in 2025.

The continuity with the previous model is real but not absolute. The dimensions have increased, from 10 to 12,7 meters, and with them the hull volume, which now allows for a cabin below deck with a separate head and shower in three alternative configurations: a double bed, a V-berth, or a saloon with a double berth. The tank capacity has also increased: up to 1.200 liters of fuel and 300 liters of water, sufficient for autonomous navigation without the support of the mother ship.

The hull is the heart of the project. It's a 5000 series aluminum hull, certified by RINA, with a stepped hull for high speed, a raised bow, and a hybrid protection system. Its origins are military: the Med Group has been developing hulls for civilian, special forces, and navies for years, and the Tykun XII directly inherits that design foundation, already proven in extreme operating conditions. The all-aluminum structure, unlike fiberglass, does not rely on molds, resulting in construction flexibility that the shipyard leverages to offer a high degree of customization on each vessel.

Propulsion is provided by two outboard engines, configurable between 400 and 600 hp each. With the top-of-the-line 2x600 hp engine, the Tykun XII exceeds 50 knots. The standard configuration already includes a full suite of features, with the option of a turnkey option for owners who prefer a simplified construction process.

The model will be produced in two main versions: Open and Closed. The Open version follows the Tykun X's design, featuring a central helm station, a hardtop, an integrated bar, and a modular stern area with seating and a sundeck. The addition of fold-down bulwarks extending all the way to the stern increases the floor area. The Closed version introduces alternative solutions for the helm station and bar, and allows for configurations with an internal dinette and lounge, making it suitable for extended use and more challenging weather conditions.

The bow is also variable: the "high bow" variant features a forward sundeck, while the "low bow" variant opens onto a spacious cockpit with seating and a table. The wet bar can be equipped with an ice maker, optional hob, and 130-liter refrigerator; air conditioning is standard.

The aluminum structure allows for a high level of customization, as it is not constrained by molds, while maintaining a complete standard equipment list and also offering the Tykun XII as a turnkey solution for owners who want a simpler and more immediate construction process.”

The exterior and interior design are by Tommaso Spadolini, based on a concept by Benedetta Iovane, Head of Commercial & Brand. Royal Yacht International, a Monegasque broker, has been appointed as the worldwide distributor and will use the vessel as an operational tender for its clients at the Monaco Yacht Show.

“The Tykun XII represents the natural evolution of the range: more volume, greater comfort, and greater range than the Tykun X, without losing its sporty DNA and military-derived robustness,” concludes Galimberti. “We are confident that it will be a key player at the Monaco Yacht Show, just like its predecessor in 2025.”

The first unit will be the Open version with a large bow sundeck. Production is underway; the delivery window for the first orders remains tied to the autumn launch.
