Virtuosity, the second unit in Sanlorenzo's 74Steel line, has been presented.
Tailor-made design and immersive spaces in the new 74-metre based on the diesel-electric platform already tested on the first hull of the series

With the official presentation of Virtuosity, the second unit in the 74Steel line, Sanlorenzo confirms a design direction in which technology is put at the service of maximum customization. The new 74-meter vessel, as the shipyard explains, is not simply an extension of a range, but the result of a co-creation process lasting over four years between the owner, the Sanlorenzo team, and Studio Paolo Ferrari. This in-depth analysis required eighteen months of weekly meetings before even laying the first block, necessary to define a concept of life on board capable of revolutionizing traditional layouts.
The starting point is the diesel-electric platform already tested on the first hull in the series; a choice that freed the interior spaces from the constraints of conventional mechanics, allowing for greater freedom of expression. As Tommaso Vincenzi, CEO of Sanlorenzo, emphasizes, the goal of the project was not excess, but consistency: "With this yacht, we decided to rethink the onboard architecture from its foundations. Every choice stems from a clear vision: to transform the technical spaces into experiential environments, where innovation is balance, not force."
The defining feature of the yacht's identity emerges at the center of the main deck: a Ficus Nitida tree growing vertically through a 16-square-meter oval opening, visually connecting two decks. A controlled micro-ecosystem was developed to integrate the plant, scientifically engineered to ensure its long-term vitality. The entire structure of the yacht grew around this living element, which now serves as a central visual axis, emphasized by lateral skylights that channel natural light into the heart of the salon.
The connection with the sea finds its maximum expression in the Ocean Resort, a beach area that, at 230 square meters, exceeds the surface area of the first unit in the line by 40%. The walkaround layout and fold-down side terraces eliminate visual barriers, while the 28 square meter aft pool, featuring a transparent bottom, floods the space below with natural light. Continuing toward the wellness area, you'll find the Aquarium: here, a partially submerged glass section in the side allows you to observe the underwater landscape directly from inside, transforming the bulwark into an open lens overlooking the seabed.
The exterior lines, designed by Zuccon International Project, mark a formal evolution for the series: the bow, traditionally vertical in previous models, takes on a more tapered and dynamic line in Virtuosity, streamlining the silhouette while respecting the brand's aesthetic rigor. Inside, Studio Paolo Ferrari debuted with the shipyard, focusing on a Mediterranean color palette and a flowing sequence of spaces. The fulcrum of circulation is a triple-height atrium, dominated by a dark-lacquered aluminum spiral staircase that functionally connects the social areas to the private decks.
The layout has been carefully designed to ensure maximum privacy: the main deck houses the reception areas and an 80-square-meter guest suite, while the bridge deck opens onto a 42-square-meter winter garden, conceived as a hybrid space between interior and exterior. The upper deck, the owner's deck, is an exclusive 140-square-meter retreat featuring a reflecting pool and a sensory shower. Finally, the sun deck has been reconfigured to accommodate a glass-enclosed gym that maintains constant contact with the horizon.
With the unveiling of Virtuosity, commissioned in collaboration with Fraser Yacht, Sanlorenzo consolidates its leadership in the superyacht segment under 2000 GT. The project demonstrates how an engineered platform can evolve into radically different identities while maintaining the standards of reliability and cutting-edge technology required of a flagship of this profile.
