APM Keels pivoting keel structure installed on Argo54
Omikron Yachts has completed the first phase of the keel installation on the 54-meter yacht designed by Juan Kouyoumdjian in collaboration with Rob Doyle Design.

APM Keels has completed installation of the female support structure for the pivoting keel of Argo54, the 54-meter sailing superyacht currently under construction at the Greek shipyard Omikron Yachts. The project, designed by Juan Kouyoumdjian in collaboration with Rob Doyle Design, promises to redefine the industry standard for large sailing yachts thanks to its technical solutions. The overall engineering management, from concept to systems development, was handled by Omikron's technical department.
APM Keels developed and engineered the pivoting keel concept in collaboration with the JuanK and Rob Doyle teams, adapting it to the construction requirements of a hull of this type and size. With the load-bearing structure installed inside the hull, the next step is to install the keel blade. The hull construction took place at the Gouwerok shipyard in the Netherlands.
