Mangusta GranSport 50: the evolution of the Sport Utility Yacht presented at Palm Beach
Designed by Alberto Mancini and Pierluigi Ausonio, the yacht introduces, among other innovations, a new style for the range: a scenic central staircase that connects the cockpit to the swim platform.

With the debut of the Mangusta GranSport 50 at the Palm Beach International Boat Show, Overmarine Group has introduced a new benchmark in its production. The project, the result of a synergy between in-house engineering, Pierluigi Ausonio's PLANA Design studio, and Alberto Mancini's vision, is being presented by the shipyard as a turning point: a yacht capable of combining a sporty spirit with the spaciousness and comfort standards typical of large cruising yachts.
The new GranSport 50 features an additional half-deck compared to traditional configurations. This architectural solution is made possible by the integration of a raised pilothouse, designed to blend into the yacht's aerodynamic profile. Relocating the helm station has allowed for a complete redesign of the layout, making the upper deck a dynamic space where the sea view opens up completely toward the bow.
The exterior lines, designed by Alberto Mancini, embody Mangusta's sporty DNA with a contemporary aesthetic dominated by transparency, thanks to the extensive use of glass on the bulwarks. The classic lateral surfaces evolve into frameless elements in Europa grey glass, visually lightening the yacht's profile and ensuring guests a seamless visual connection between the interior and the horizon, while preserving the necessary privacy. The same fluidity of the exterior design is found in the interiors, where particular attention has been paid to ensuring that light eliminates any visual barriers.
The exterior spaces of the Mangusta GranSport 50 offer a variety of options for life on board. The sun deck is a 360-degree panoramic terrace, while the bow area features the brand's iconic infinity pool, with an adjacent panoramic lounge. The owner can customize the bow lounge area, transforming it into a sixth panoramic cabin or a private office overlooking the pool. The stern of the yacht introduces a new stylistic feature for the range: a dramatic central staircase connecting the cockpit to the swim platform. Here, the opening side wings reveal a versatile beach club, which can be used as a gym or relaxation area in direct contact with the water.
The Mangusta GranSport 50 was designed to optimize efficiency without sacrificing power. The tender and jet ski garage, positioned forward, has completely freed up the aft area for conviviality.
Equipped with twin 2600 HP MTU engines, the yacht reaches a top speed of approximately 20 knots and a cruising speed of 16 knots, while a range of 4200 nautical miles makes the yacht suitable for ocean crossings. Finally, with a displacement of less than 499 GT and a capacity for twelve passengers, the GranSport 50, according to the shipyard, "represents an advanced synthesis of naval engineering and tailoring, offering a personalized and cutting-edge sailing experience."
