Rizzardi INSix: the balance between technical tailoring and nautical tradition
The model currently under construction is an example of the shipyard's ability to customise, which, in this unit, has favoured traditional shaft line propulsion.

The Rizzardi Yachts shipyard, with over fifty years of tradition that allows it to achieve high levels of customization, presents the latest INSix model currently under construction, which – as explained in a note – represents the perfect synthesis of this ability and philosophy: a yacht that is unique as it is built to the specific requests of an owner attached to the classic canons of navigation.
The main distinctive feature of this vessel lies in its propulsion system. Unlike previous models, the client favored a traditional shaft drive over the more powerful surface propellers. This technical solution focuses entirely on linearity and reliability: motion is transferred directly from the engine to the propeller via a fixed shaft, eliminating complex mechanisms. The configuration does not aim for record speed, but ensures consistent thrust and optimal performance at medium-low speeds, significantly reducing component wear and simplifying maintenance over time.
From a design perspective, the INSix "confirms its leadership in the under-30-meter open segment" thanks to a look that combines aggressiveness and elegance. The contemporary lines maintain the Rizzardi brand's historic family feel, standing out in the nautical world for its ability to combine large open spaces with advanced functional solutions. A defining element of the layout is the large glass door separating the cockpit from the interior: once opened, it disappears from view, creating a single, vast, contiguous space that connects the living area and the sea.
Customization naturally extends to every detail, from the hull colors to the carbon fiber finishes on the superstructures, to the layout of the spaces below deck. In this specific version, the layout features three cabins with private bathrooms, in addition to a crew area, showcasing the quality of the Italian craftsmanship and the shipyard's trademark craftsmanship. Despite its impressive size, the vessel is designed for autonomous operation and efficient cost management. Equipped with twin 1200 hp Man engines, the yacht is capable of reaching a projected speed of 37 knots, demonstrating how the solidity of the shaft line can coexist well with the performance required of a modern luxury open yacht.
“Beyond the owner's request for this model, the optimal results on INSix in terms of planing, cruising, maximum speed and maneuverability in port were achieved with the installation of surface propeller transmissions,” concludes the note from the shipyard.
