Ab Yachts launches the first unit of the Ab 95S series
53 knots of maximum speed for the Sport variant of this series intended for an American owner

The launch of the first AB 95S unit at the Viareggio shipyard, announced by AB Yachts, marks the introduction of the Sport version within its AB 95 range. Designed to enhance the brand's high-performance DNA, the vessel was purchased by an experienced American owner through the brokerage firm FGI Yacht Group. This vessel stands out for its naval architecture that prioritizes dynamic navigation, taking the top speed beyond 53 knots in the specific "fast lap" configuration.
From an engineering perspective, the project features an overall length of 28,45 meters and a maximum beam of 6,80 meters. To optimize the power-to-weight ratio and ensure the necessary structural rigidity at high speeds, the hull and deck are made of composite material with extensive use of carbon fiber. This construction choice allows for a displacement of just 93 tons, a parameter necessary to support the thrust of the three MAN V12X-2200 engines, capable of delivering a total of 6.600 horsepower. Power management is entrusted to an MJP waterjet propulsion system, configured with two steering units and a central booster. This architecture, explains the shipyard's statement, not only favors rapid and progressive acceleration, but also ensures precise maneuverability and control even at the highest speeds, maintaining a maximum draft at full load of just 1,35 meters. Stability in all conditions is further increased by the integration of a Seakeeper 26 gyroscopic stabilizer.
The yacht's technical soul is evident in the helm station, featuring the "integrated bridge by AB Yachts" developed in collaboration with Fincantieri. The system centralizes control of all onboard instrumentation in an ergonomic interface designed for maximum operational safety. Acoustic comfort is enhanced by technical solutions such as insulated panels paired with leather and suede finishes, designed to reduce vibrations and noise in the interior.
The Sport version's design works in synergy with aerodynamic requirements: the wraparound windshield and sunroof integrated into the superstructure lower the aesthetic center of gravity and improve air penetration. The continuity between the main salon and the cockpit creates a fluid environment that extends to the aft beach area. Designed for maximum functional versatility, the latter has a garage capable of housing a tender over 4 meters, a jet ski, and several water toys, as well as easy management of the onboard equipment.
The lower deck layout accommodates up to eight guests, depending on the chosen configuration, in a full-beam master suite and cabins. The clear separation of the crew area ensures efficient operations and privacy while onboard.
After completion of sea trials aimed at validating performance data and consumption, the final delivery of the unit is scheduled for April.
