LIVORNO The splendid Belle Brise, a 48-meter aluminum ketch originally launched by Perini Navi in 1993 under the name Corelia, touched water again today at the Lusben shipyard. The launch marks the conclusion of a major refit that lasted approximately two and a half years, which saw the synergy between the owner's team, led by Susanna Corsagni (Seamotion), and the shipyard's craftsmen.

The ceremony was opened by Susanna Corsagni herself, godmother of the launch, who oversaw the project on behalf of the owners with emotional involvement: "I was excited from the beginning of this journey: this was the first yacht I worked on in my career at Perini Navi, and for me it was the opportunity to rebuild it and give it new life. It was a great technical and human challenge: I thank the Lusben team for their attentiveness and flexibility, even during the most complex moments of this long journey. Now the baton passes to Captain Mattia, with best wishes for calm seas."

The yacht was completely dismantled when the owner purchased it. Willem Steenkamer of St. Julian Maritime Finance, representing the owner, recalled: "We placed our trust in Susanna Corsagni, her team, and the shipyard; today, Belle Brise is our flagship, thanks to the incredible teamwork that involved the contractors, crew, and workers."

Concluding the remarks was Ferdinando Pilli, general manager of Lusben, a shipyard celebrating its 70th anniversary this year: "Working on a sailing icon like this is a significant responsibility: it means honoring nautical history while projecting it into the future. This refit embodies our philosophy, where cutting-edge engineering meets traditional craftsmanship. Today, the boat is back in its operational element, and we expect to deliver it to the owner within a month, ready for the start of the season."

Belle Brise is now preparing for her final sea trials before setting sail again.
