Palumbo Superyachts expands with another shipyard in the Adriatic
Ortona becomes the new strategic hub for metal vessels. Approximately 13.000 square meters will enhance the operations of the Isa Yachts, Columbus Yachts, Extra Yachts, and Mondomarine brands.

The Palumbo Superyachts Group has announced the acquisition of a 13.048,98-square-meter maritime concession in the port of Ortona. This acquisition will enhance the shipbuilding operations of the Isa Yachts, Columbus Yachts, Extra Yachts, and Mondomarine brands, providing a key asset for expanding the logistics and production capabilities of the Superyachts Division.
The selected area, with direct access to the sea and a slipway, and located in a port of primary importance for the Adriatic, allows us to support the entire construction, outfitting, and logistics management cycle of large vessels.
The choice of Ortona reflects a specific industrial vision aimed at enhancing a region historically linked to metal shipbuilding. Thanks to the presence of a well-established commercial port and a supply chain specialized in metal carpentry and steel processing, the new hub perfectly complements Palumbo Superyachts' technical expertise in the construction of steel and aluminum yachts.
Giuseppe Palumbo, sole director of the company founded in 2008, emphasized that the choice fell on a region with metal shipbuilding and highly valuable skills in its DNA, with the aim of investing in infrastructure, innovation, and human capital to increase the competitiveness of the Italian nautical industry worldwide.
The investment, a statement explains, comes at a time of extraordinary growth for the Group, which is building composite and metal yachts ranging from 22 to 100 meters. The company's solidity is evidenced by its record-breaking order book exceeding one billion euros and 24 units currently under construction at various shipyards, including hulls already underway "on spec." Among the numerous projects under construction are impressive vessels such as the 100-meter ISA GT and various models from the ISA Yachts lines, including Custom, Classic, Sportiva, Spectre, and others, as well as models from the Columbus Yachts Atlantique and Crossover series and units from the Extra Yachts range, confirming a steady growth trend. "With this new operation, which joins the historic sites in Ancona and Savona, Palumbo Superyachts reaffirms its strategy of sustainable and structured development, reaffirming Italy's role as a global benchmark of excellence in the superyacht sector," concludes the Group's statement.
