The fourth Mangusta 165 Rev was launched in Viareggio
The flagship of the Maxi Open line has entered the water

The fourth unit of the Mangusta 165 Rev, Overmarine Group's iconic Maxi Open, has been launched in Viareggio. The news, accompanied by the first images of the superyacht, was made official by Lorenzo Biancalana, the brand's product improvement coordinator, who in a post on LinkedIn emphasized how this model, developed with a tailor-made approach, represents the perfect synthesis of construction tradition and cutting-edge performance.
Born from the collaboration between Overmarine's engineering department and Lobanov Design, the 165 Rev reinterprets the stylistic legacy of Stefano Righini's open yachts. Her lines are characterized by a balance between structural solidity and visual lightness, with large glazed surfaces blurring the lines between interior and exterior, transforming natural light into a central element.
The 165 Rev's layout, in keeping with the shipyard's standard model, accommodates up to 12 guests in 6 cabins, supported by a crew of 9-10 in 5 dedicated cabins. Technically, the Mangusta 165 Rev confirms its vocation for high speeds without compromising onboard comfort. Propulsion is provided by four MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines, each capable of delivering 2600 HP at 2450 rpm. Dynamic efficiency is provided by a quadruple waterjet propulsion system, consisting of two Kamewa S4-71 and two Kamewa B4-71 waterjets: a configuration that allows for a top speed of approximately 34 knots and a cruising speed of 30 knots at half load, with a range of 650 nautical miles.
In terms of technical specifications, the vessel has an overall length of 49,90 meters, a beam of 9,2 meters, a maximum draft of 2 meters, and a full load displacement of 315 tons. Its gross tonnage is 499 GT. Its fuel capacity is approximately 40.000 liters. Built with advanced materials, its hull is made of Single Skin Composite and its superstructure is Sandwich Composite, for strength and lightness. It is also equipped with Zero Speed and Underway stabilizers.
