Nautical brokerage starts 2026 with a +125%
The country also stands out for the quality and value of its design

The pre-owned superyacht sector (over 24 meters) began 2026 with sales results that exceeded all expectations. According to BOATPro data, January marked a turning point for the industry, recording exceptionally strong sales volumes that suggest an extremely positive year ahead.
The data highlights exponential growth: with 41 transactions concluded in January alone, the market generated a total value of €721,6 million, marking a 125,3% increase compared to the €320,3 million in the same period of 2025.
The largest sale involved the Dutch superyacht Here Comes the Sun (89 metres, asking price €165 million including VAT), but the role of Italian industry and design remained central to the transaction dynamics.
One example is Heesen's 49,9-meter Bijin: following an interior refit by Milanese studio Hot Lab in 2025, the yacht sold within just three months of being put on the market (asking €29,5 million). Among the 12 record sales reported by Fraser, Made in Italy also stands out, with the off-market transaction involving the 65-meter Eternity from the historic Codecasa shipyard, the largest superyacht sold.
The Italian contribution is equally evident in the influx of new yachts for sale, which in January saw 55 new listings for a total value of €892,6 million. Alongside Northern European giants such as the 100-meter Moonrise by Feadship (asking price €325 million) and the 78-meter Rocinante by Lürssen (€88,5 million), the offering has been enriched by boldly designed proposals from domestic shipyards: among the most notable additions are the futuristic catamaran This Is It by Tecnomar (43,5 meters, offered at €46 million) and the superyacht 62Steel Alchemist by Sanlorenzo (€64 million).
Despite 62 price reductions totaling €68,3 million (including a significant one on the 60-meter Dream by Abeking & Rasmussen for nearly €34 million), interest in the high-end segment remains robust, so much so that current performance suggests to experts like Anders Kurtén, CEO of Fraser, that 2026 could prove to be an excellent year for the market.
