Gx Superyachts: Maurizio Magri at the helm of the commercial division
The shipyard enters a decisive phase with new decision-making structures and a more solid structure to secure its market positioning.
Gx Superyachts has officially appointed Maurizio Magri as its new Chief Commercial Officer, simultaneously appointing him to the Board of Directors. With this move, the shipyard aims to consolidate its sales operations after an initial period of strong growth for the brand.
From its operational headquarters in Monaco, the epicenter of continental yachting, Magri will oversee client relations and the development of marketing and public relations strategies. He will be responsible for guiding the sales team through a delicate transition from expressions of interest to contract closing. The shipyard's business plan sees it engaged on multiple fronts: the outfitting of the first Gx42 RPH, scheduled for delivery in summer 2026, the development of the executive plans for the Gx38 Voyager, presented at the Monaco Yacht Show, and the advancement of the Gx34 project.
Maurizio Magri has forty years of experience in the maritime sector. After graduating from the Naval Academy in Livorno and specializing in Maritime Business Administration at Texas A&M University, he has worked in the oil and gas industry, the defense sector, and finally, focusing on yachting. His resume includes senior roles at shipyards such as CBI Navi, Admiral, Technomar, and Wider, where he distinguished himself with his ability to manage start-ups and relaunch historic brands.
Vladimir Zinchenko, founder of Gx Superyachts, explained the appointment by emphasizing that the brand, specializing in custom vessels between 24 and 56 meters, has not experienced the challenges typical of new market players. On the contrary, the high level of attention received for its range of hybrid and efficient yachts has made the addition of a person with proven experience essential to boost sales and manage the commercial response to the environmental concerns of future owners.
