Assonat-Confcommercio has renewed the mandate of President Luciano Serra.
At the heart of the president's future agenda is the call for a special law for ports and the challenge of digital transition.

Strategic continuity and full internal cohesion: these were the key words that characterized the Members' Meeting of Assonat-Confcommercio, the National Association of Tourist Landings and Ports. Convened on December 3, 2025, at the Confcommercio Conference Center in Rome, the meeting confirmed Luciano Serra by acclamation as the association's leader. This re-election, a statement from the association emphasizes, marks unanimous recognition for the work accomplished during the previous term, during which Serra promoted crucial initiatives for the growth of recreational boating and the affirmation of Italian excellence in the international nautical landscape.
In his acceptance speech, President Serra emphasized his determination to continue the process of enhancing recreational boating facilities. The stated goal is to remain firmly at the side of businesses and institutions, working to consolidate a vision of nautical tourism that is modern, competitive, and capable of generating value for the local communities.
Assonat-Confcommercio's program places institutional pressure as its top priority, with a commitment to push for the approval of a specific national law for tourist ports. This reform is deemed necessary to streamline procedures for the creation of new ones and/or the upgrading of existing ones. Alongside the legislative process, the association intends to accelerate progress on now-essential issues such as the environmental sustainability of infrastructure; supporting digitalization and innovation in boater hospitality; fostering collaboration with national and European institutions for the development of the blue economy; strengthening professional training and safety in port areas; and promoting the excellence of Italian tourist ports in Italy and abroad.
Luciano Serra will be supported in this new mandate by a consolidated governance team: Bruno Santori has been appointed Deputy Vice President, supported by Vice Presidents Antonello Gadau and Eugenio Michelino. The Board of Directors has been completed with the appointments of Fabrizio De Nicola, Michela Fucile, Calogero Marino, Andrea Marozza, and Giacomo Pileri.
