Beneteau relaunches its Monfalcone presence with "Phase 3.0," featuring new yachts and regeneration of used vessels.
The engine division's Friuli headquarters is expected to expand. A dedicated line for a new model and a specialized refitting department are on the way to give large vessels a second lease of life.

The Groupe Beneteau Italia shipyard is entering the heart of what management calls "Phase 3.0" of its industrial history. As reported in a recent in-depth analysis by the northeast, the site is preparing to increase its production capacity by inaugurating two new lines, with a strategic focus that embraces both product innovation and the circular economy.
The facility, led by Michelangelo Casadei (head of the Motor Yachting business unit) since 2024, represents a key asset for the group, generating over a billion euros in revenue. With a 45.000-square-meter waterfront site, the shipyard has undergone a profound transformation: acquired in 2011 as the home of the Monte Carlo Yachts brand, it was converted into a modern multi-brand center between 2021 and 2024. Here, thanks to cutting-edge facilities including fiberglass departments, paint booths, and a private marina, the group's flagships (ranging from 12 to 24 meters) are now built, such as the Prestige M7 and M8 and the Grand Trawler 63.
According to what Casadei anticipated to the newspaper the northeastThe shipyard's operations are ready to ramp up. Three production lines are currently operational, but the plan calls for the remaining two to be activated for specific missions. A fourth line will be dedicated to the construction of a new model, confirming Italy's central role in the development of the range, while the fifth line marks a shift towards sustainability: it will be dedicated exclusively to the refitting of large sailing yachts and catamarans. The goal is to identify hulls over ten years old and completely regenerate them, offering owners an option that costs approximately one-third of new, which represents the Group's highest-added-value production.
The decision to invest in Monfalcone reflects the Group's vision of the current market. "The motorboat sector currently shows the greatest growth potential," explained Casadei. The numbers confirm this trend: the Motor Yachting division (which also includes a site in Nantes) closed 2024 with a turnover of €300 million, employing approximately 200 people at its Italian plant.
Looking ahead, despite the natural slowdown in the nautical sector following the post-Covid peaks, Groupe Beneteau expects the motorboat segment to remain stable in 2025, ahead of a more sustained recovery expected in 2026.
