Technical launch of the new Amer 42 Explorer by Amer Yachts in Pisa

From new Amer Yachts' factory on the Navicelli canal in Pisa The first Amer 42 Explorer 'Even Further', the 41,45-metre superyacht with a beam of 9,7 metres, has been launched first announced by the shipyard at the 2022 Monaco Yacht Show.

Amer's impressive and innovative explorer "is the largest vessel in the world equipped with Volvo Penta's IPS Professional Platform propulsion system," as Barbara Amerio, the shipyard's head, noted in a LinkedIn post, and represents "an all-Italian record achieved with tenacity, perseverance, and boldness." Amerio concluded by thanking "everyone who contributed to a feat that will remain memorable, and a special thanks to a visionary owner."

The Amer Explorer 42 features a tall profile with robust lines designed by Miami-based Luiz De Basto (his first collaboration with the shipyard), who took care of the exterior and interior, while the architecture and naval engineering are by the Italian studio Optima Design.

The new model's distinctive features include its innovative hull shape and the new, advanced Volvo Penta S40 propulsion systems, which significantly reduce fuel consumption and emissions while ensuring quietness and onboard comfort. Inside, five cabins can accommodate up to ten guests, with accommodations for eight crew members. Other notable features include the capacity to accommodate two large tenders, which are easily launched and retrieved using integrated davits.

The superyacht was floated out at the new production facility on the Canale dei Navicelli in Pisa—the second for the Permare Group, dedicated to the production and maintenance of large vessels—in the presence of CEO Barbara Amerio and her staff. Delivery to the owner, according to the initial schedule, is scheduled for 2025.
