Sebastiano Fanizza Ceo Next Yacht Group –

The former CEO of Next Yacht Group, Sebastiano Fanizza, broke his silence a month after his resignation, confirming the reasons that led him to leave Stefano Nesti's Group after just four months. In a LinkedIn post, Fanizza attributed his departure to a "misalignment of strategic visions."

"Although the initial plan was to accelerate the Group's international expansion, with a strong focus on product innovation and the global brand, it became clear over time that our strategic visions were not fully aligned. With mutual respect, we have decided to separate," the manager wrote.

His brief but intense tenure had already brought about a tangible turning point, investing in a prestigious deck lounge in Viareggio and, most importantly, introducing the new Maiora 42 Exuma. This model, the result of a strategic collaboration with designer Elie Saab, symbolized the brand's "Renaissance," as Fanizza himself described it, with the stated goal of exceeding €80 million in revenue.

The resignation of a high-profile manager like Fanizza, after such a short tenure and with projects already underway, naturally raises questions in the industry. His departure, which highlighted a disagreement within the Group's leadership, and the lack of official communication from Next Yacht Group, have left an information vacuum that could fuel speculation in a market where continuity and stability are considered fundamental values and can affect the confidence of clients, partners, and investors.

As the shipyard prepares to face the challenge of preserving the momentum of the "Renaissance" it has begun, appointing a successor capable of carrying the projects forward and clearly communicating its future strategy to the market, industry insiders are wondering about Fanizza's next step. The Cannes event, a key event for the industry, could be the ideal setting to identify its potential future use.
