Marina dei Cesari: Management concession reinstated, expiring in 2100

The Fano municipal administration has made an important decision regarding the future of the "Marina dei Cesari" marina. Through a recent resolution, the municipality approved the reinstatement of the management concession until September 1, 2100, increasing the total term to 75 years, starting from scratch. This move, requested by the company's bankruptcy trustee, is the first step in a broader process aimed at identifying a new concessionaire through a public tender.
The concession extension is not just a formality, but a fundamental condition for making the future management tender more attractive and robust for potential investors. A 75-year term provides the incumbent with a sufficiently long time horizon to recoup the necessary investments and generate an adequate return. This is a crucial move to advantageously conclude the bankruptcy proceedings of the Marina dei Cesari company, declared by the Court of Pesaro on April 26, 2022.
In the coming months, the bankruptcy trusteeship will begin the technical-administrative phase for assessing the port's value—an essential step in preparing the tender. The objective is clear, as emphasized by the municipal administration: to revitalize the marina and ensure its new development cycle.
The Port of Fano, the Municipality emphasizes, is not just a recreational boating destination, but a strategic infrastructure destined to become a hub for tourism, commerce, shipbuilding, and recreational activities. With this initiative, the administration intends to restore the port's centrality, transforming it into a hub not only for the city, but for the entire Adriatic coast. Although the management company went bankrupt, the port's operations have never been interrupted, maintaining its role as a key resource for the region.
