Breva 1300: the Italian maxi-dinghy that changes shape according to your needs
The Breva Marine shipyard makes its debut in the large luxury RIB sector with a 13-metre model and introduces a modular cockpit capable of transforming according to needs or into an open area for professional use.
The Breva 1300 was born as a 13-meter maxi rib that aims to combine modularity and customization, two key features today in the high-end inflatable boat segment. It is an entirely Italian project new Breva Marine shipyard, led by CEO Cinzia Grottoli, with production facilities in Grezzago, in the province of Milan, which aims to provide shipowners and captains with a flexible platform capable of adapting to a wide range of scenarios: from day cruises to charters, up to more technical or professional uses.
The key to this design is the modular cockpit, designed to be quickly transformed into a variety of configurations. The Comfort Cruiser emphasizes relaxed cruising and navigation: it offers integrated benches, linear seating, and optimized spaces to safely accommodate passengers while traveling, while still maintaining open areas for movement on board. The Social Lounge, on the other hand, has a more convivial setting, with a spacious U-shaped dinette that allows for lunches, cocktails, or social gatherings even with large groups, taking advantage of the hard top and the proximity of the galley unit in the stern. The Sun Deck Edition takes the search for outdoor spaces dedicated to relaxation to the extreme: the cockpit becomes a single large sunbathing area, with modular cushions and continuous surfaces for relaxing in the sun. Finally, for those with a more technical approach to their dinghy, the cockpit can be left completely free, making it suitable for sport fishing, stowing diving equipment, or as a support vessel for professional activities.
These variations aren't rigid configurations but guidelines: Breva Marine's in-house design studio works closely with the owner to customize materials, layouts, and accessories. In this way, the Breva 1300 can become a very different vessel depending on the client, going beyond the standardized approach that often characterizes maxi-RIBs.
From a technical standpoint, the fiberglass hull with hypalon-neoprene tubes ensures solidity and durability, while the engine can deliver up to 1.200 hp overall, a choice that combines high speed with a good safety margin. The control console, with digital instrumentation on a dual display, is designed for professional use, with particular attention to ergonomics. In the bow, there is a cabin with a double bed and separate bathroom, a detail that extends the boat's usability to weekend getaways and short cruises.
Perhaps the most interesting aspect for a captain or operator in the sector is the Breva 1300's ability to change functions without losing design coherence. In charter, for example, the Social Lounge version can become a commercial plus, offering convivial onboard experiences, while for private use, the owner might prefer a more relaxation-oriented Sun Deck layout. The Comfort Cruiser variant is ideal for those seeking a balance between performance and habitability, while the free-standing layout has a clear professional vocation, making it a multifunctional platform.
