2026 Yamaha WaveRunner: Technology and functionality also for superyacht garages
Three new models enrich the range of jet skis from the brand with the three tuning forks: performance, connectivity and ease of management make them water toys suitable for life on board

Jet skis are now a permanent fixture in superyacht garages. They are no longer considered a marginal accessory, but a genuine plus for guests and a key contributor to the success of a charter. In this context, Yamaha has unveiled the 2026 WaveRunner range, introducing three new models—the FX Limited SVHO, the VX Limited HO, and the JetBlaster Ltd—which significantly upgrade the offering, both in terms of performance and everyday usability.
The new FX Limited SVHO is positioned as the flagship. It's a three-seater with a 1.812 cc supercharged engine, capable of ensuring power and stability even in rough seas. It features an integrated Drive Control system with GPS and two Auto Trim modes, designed to optimize trim at different speeds. The seven-inch Connext touchscreen centralizes navigation, entertainment, and safety functions, with the addition of a Yamaha Music audio system and Bluetooth connectivity. These features reduce the need for extra accessories, positively impacting garage storage and crew management. There's also plenty of space for small personal items, watertight compartments with USB and 12V outlets, and even a bow refrigerator, allowing guests to embark on excursions without requiring additional logistical support.
The Vx Limited Ho, on the other hand, is designed for those seeking versatility and ease of operation. The 1,9-liter engine offers balanced acceleration with low fuel consumption, while RiDE technology and reverse assist simplify maneuvering in tight spaces or near the yacht. These details significantly reduce risks during launching and recovery, or when guests must board directly from the stern platform. Here too, we find an intuitive interface, with a 4,3-inch Connext display and integrated audio system, designed to make the experience immediate and minimize requests for assistance from the onboard staff. The Vx Limited, more compact than the Fx, is also suitable for yachts with smaller garages.
For the younger, more dynamic segment, Yamaha has introduced the JetBlaster Ltd, a lightweight and agile model designed for freestyle. The three-cylinder TR-1 engine powers a compact, maneuverable, and easy-to-control chassis, while the electric trim and high-performance Auto Trim improve precision and safety, even during acrobatics. For guests, it's pure fun, but for captains, it also represents an operational advantage: its low weight, ease of handling with onboard cranes, and ease of stowage make it an ideal complement to larger craft. Alongside these new products, Yamaha has refreshed the liveries across the entire range, introducing bolder, more distinctive colors.
The range remains organized into three segments—Cruising, Sport, and Recreation—to simplify the choice based on guest profiles. The FX and VX models are designed for cruising, the GP models for those seeking sporty performance, while the JetBlaster offers immediate fun and a freestyle spirit.
The JetBlaster's compact size, combined with the greater range of the Fx Limited, allows it to meet a wide range of needs without complicating the crew's work. Added to this is the Yamaha service network, present in over 200 countries, which represents an important guarantee for yachts operating on international routes.
With the 2026 lineup, Yamaha isn't just introducing three new models. It's offering a suite of solutions designed to simplify life onboard, with reliable, easy-to-handle vessels equipped for immediate use. For captains and crew, this means less time spent managing toys and more time dedicated to the guest experience.
