The second VisionF 80 has been launched: more solar energy, more comfort, zero emissions.
The Turkish shipyard's new electric catamaran improves its range and expands its onboard space, with a five-cabin configuration, a flybridge with a jacuzzi, and 62 solar panels.

The second VisionF E-Cat 80, a 23,97-meter-long, fully electric, solar-powered catamaran, was launched in Tuzla (Istanbul). The result of technological and design research by the Turkish shipyard VisionF Yachts, the E-Cat 80 is a refinement of the first prototype, featuring improved energy efficiency and livability.
The VisionF E-Cat 80 is designed for complete energy self-sufficiency thanks to a photovoltaic system with 62 solar panels, generating up to 24,8 kWh. The roof has been extended to accommodate eight more panels than the first unit, increasing energy production capacity and therefore autonomy. In ideal conditions, the catamaran can count on an unlimited cruising range, without the need for external supplies.
For long-haul voyages or emergency situations, the system is supported by two 150 kW generators and a 5-ton fuel tank, ensuring over 1.000 miles of range. Propulsion is provided by two 180 kW Danfoss electric motors, with bow and stern thrusters for smooth maneuverability even in tight spaces. Cruising speed is between 6 and 8 knots.
The design remains faithful to the brand's minimalist and contemporary style. On board, the spaces are generous: the 10,92-meter beam allows for an interior configuration with five cabins to accommodate up to 12 guests. One of the main innovations is the introduction of a fifth cabin, designed for children but completely customizable according to the owner's needs.
The flybridge has been updated with a Jacuzzi, adding to the four lounge areas, sundecks, an outdoor cinema, and massage chairs. The entire upper deck is designed as an outdoor entertainment area, transforming the vessel into a private floating retreat. The crew quarters are also generously sized: four berths, a private dining area, and a captain's cabin with bathroom.
Among the most interesting technical features is the 15-square-meter aft garage for tenders and water toys, complete with an electric winch, hydraulic hatch, and a docking system. The tender lift can also accommodate two jet skis, making the vessel suitable for dynamic customers who appreciate entertainment at sea.
The layout is fully customizable, with the option of an open or enclosed flybridge, greater interior volume or larger outdoor spaces. Each vessel reflects its owner's preferences, combining innovation, efficiency, and comfort.
With seven models currently in production, including the E-Cat 62 and 80, the aluminum 80, 82, 101 and 120, and the Superfast 46, VisionF Yachts continues to invest in the design of high-performance catamarans, focusing on sustainable and flexible solutions capable of adapting to the needs of the private and international charter markets.
