Cala dei Sardi and Porto Rotondo: Reciprocity agreement signed between the two Yacht Clubs
The two associations have reached an agreement to facilitate cross-membership, promote maritime culture, and strengthen synergies. The next step is a partnership with the Circolo Vela Torbole.

The Cala dei Sardi Yacht Club is strengthening its commitment to promoting maritime culture and building strategic relationships with key players in the Italian sailing scene. A reciprocal agreement was recently signed with the Porto Rotondo Yacht Club, one of the most prestigious clubs in international yachting, with the aim of fostering the sharing of experiences, cross-member access to each other's facilities, and the creation of new synergies.
The agreement, signed by presidents Gianfranco Bacchi for the Cala dei Sardi Yacht Club and Luigi Fabrizio Ferrero De Falco for the Porto Rotondo Yacht Club, stems from a shared vision: to network and promote a lifestyle connected to the sea, based on sport, respect for the environment, hospitality, and community spirit.
Thanks to this agreement, members of both clubs will be able to access the other club's premises during normal opening hours, using the services provided, such as bars, restaurants, sports courses, and event spaces, under the same conditions as internal members.
"This alliance," commented Captain Gianfranco Bacchi, "represents an important step for the Cala dei Sardi Yacht Club. It's not just about offering a benefit to our members, but about strengthening a shared vision: sailing as a universal language capable of uniting people, regions, and values. We are proud to build bridges between the nautical excellences of Sardinia and the rest of Italy."
Founded in 1985, the Porto Rotondo Yacht Club is one of the historic institutions on the national sailing scene. Affiliated from its inception with the Italian Sailing Federation, the club has distinguished itself by organizing national and international regattas, as well as serving as a cultural hub frequented by artists, intellectuals, and prominent figures. Its headquarters, nestled in the Porto Rotondo Marina, is inspired by the elegance of New England style, offering refined spaces, panoramic terraces, and an efficient sailing school open to both young and old.
The signing of this agreement with Porto Rotondo also acknowledges the growing prestige of the Cala dei Sardi Yacht Club, which in recent years has established itself as a benchmark for sustainable, accessible, and high-quality yachting, in harmony with the environment and in constant dialogue with the Gallura region.
"The agreement with Porto Rotondo," says President Bacchi, "represents only the first step in a broader project. A new agreement with Circolo Vela Torbole, a leading organization on Lake Garda, is already well underway. This second agreement will further expand the network of partner clubs promoted by Cala dei Sardi, fostering a symbolic and operational bridge between the sea and the lake, between Sardinia and Trentino, between two different yet complementary ways of experiencing sailing and navigation. We strongly believe in collaboration between nautical organizations that share common values, and we believe that the union between clubs is one of the most effective ways to foster maritime culture, engage new generations, and enrich the sailing experience of our members."
