The first yacht "made in Civitavecchia" is ready to launch.
The vessel, built in the former Privilege area, is ready for transfer to Genoa. This represents a tangible result for the local nautical industry, creating jobs and boosting production.

The first yacht built in Civitavecchia is almost ready, at the new Tankoa shipyard located in the former Privilege area of Mattonara. This marks a historic milestone for the port and the local nautical industry, with a significant portion of local labor involved in its construction.
According to TRC Giornale, the final phase of construction is currently underway at the production site. The hull has already left the tensile structure where it was assembled, and the welding of the last upper elements, already pre-assembled but not installable inside the shed, is being completed. Once completed, the yacht will be transferred to nearby dock 31 and loaded onto a barge to reach the main shipyard in Genoa, where the painting, systems, and furnishings will be completed.
Judging by its size, it would appear to be a model from Tankoa’s “T” range, under 50 metres in length, designed for a sporty owner and far removed, in concept and design, from the gigantic P430 visible in the immediate vicinity.
For handling, Tankoa will rely on Fagioli Spa, a leading company in exceptional transport and offshore operations, with experience in the naval sector.
This brings the number of hulls built in Civitavecchia to four. The site has already demonstrated its ability to produce efficiently and continuously. However, some critical issues remain, as the local newspaper notes: currently, all the outfitting and finishing phases are still carried out in Genoa. If the entire process could be completed on-site, as many have hoped, the economic and employment benefits for the region would be far greater.
The initiative, initially greeted with skepticism, even by some institutions, has proven to be concrete and growing. The Tankoa project represents an opportunity to revitalize Civitavecchia, a port with great potential and a long maritime tradition, now also slated to become a hub for high-end nautical production.
