Med Group and Tesya Group team up for the first Made in Italy hydrogen-powered luxury tender.
With a range of 50 miles and a maximum speed of 25-30 knots, the H1 project was born from the experience in the America's Cup and bears the signature of Tommaso Spadolini

Gruppo Med, a leading player in the creation and development of products for professional and military use, and the Marine Division of Tesya Group, a leading provider of integrated B2B services and solutions across various sectors, have announced a collaboration agreement to launch the first hydrogen-powered tender yacht designed by architect Tommaso Spadolini on the Italian and international markets.
Measuring 12 meters in length and 3,2 meters in width, the vessel, named H1, is designed to accommodate up to 16 passengers and is expected to have a maximum construction and delivery time of eight months from order placement. Propulsion is handled by a fuel cell system powered by compressed green hydrogen integrated by Tesya, a technology proven professionally on two of the chase boats used in the last America's Cup, with over 4.000 nautical miles of effective navigation, developed by Tesya – through its subsidiaries CGT and Finanzauto – and now deployed on a tender. H1 will be equipped with two 220 kW electric motors and four hydrogen tanks with a total fuel capacity of 32 kg, for a range of over 50 nautical miles at cruising speed (20-22 knots), with a maximum speed of 25-35 knots.
Particular attention was paid to regulatory aspects and safety: the ventilation system complies with the ATEX classification, making it suitable for navigation in marine protected areas, where silence and zero emissions are essential. The tender concept was born within Med's R&D department, led by Ugo Casadio, the same department that also develops the military vessels of the Med Defense brand.
