With Schenker Watermakers, the watermaker is controlled from the chartplotter monitor.
New universal graphical interface with on-board electronics presented

Convenience on board. This has always been the focus of a company like Schenker Watermakers, constantly attentive to technological changes and market trends. To ensure increasingly simple and interactive management of the watermaker, Schenker is therefore making available, starting in September, a chartplotter/watermaker interface system compatible with all major global manufacturers of onboard electronics.
As part of the ongoing development of connectivity between electronic devices, Schenker aims to provide boaters with an increasingly comfortable onboard experience and improved safety. This is why Schenker has developed a new interface for integrating watermakers with onboard systems. Traditional multifunction displays (MFDs) are now integrated with a proprietary application that offers new services and centralized, instant control of the watermaker installed on the boat.
This compact and easy-to-install system communicates between the Schenker control box and the multifunction display on the dashboard. The interface interacts with the Schenker control box via RS485 protocol, while the connection between the interface and the multifunction display is via Ethernet.
The new interface can be retrofitted to all latest-generation chartplotters (Simrad, B&G, Lowrance, Garmin, Raymarine) compatible with HTML5 applications. The system allows you to manage and monitor your Schenker watermaker conveniently from the dashboard through a simple and intuitive screen. The traditional "touch" remote panel sold with Schenker watermakers remains present and is generally mounted near the watermaker for convenient, local maintenance.
