Historic sailing yacht seized and sunk in Genoa harbor
The two-masted Amsterdam is moored at the GB Shipyard in Calata Boccardo. Anti-pollution booms have been installed to contain the diesel fuel.

For reasons yet to be determined, the historic sailing yacht Amsterdam, flying the Polish flag, sank in Genoa's port near Calata Boccardo and settled on the seabed.
According to what SUPER YACHT 24 has learned, the wooden two-masted vessel was subject to a seizure order, and the accident triggered the necessary investigations by both the local Port Authority and the Guardia di Finanza.
The vessel is moored at the dock owned by GB Shipyard, a company controlled and managed by Massimo Messina, specializing in the storage of yachts up to 30 meters in length.
The maritime authority intervened to install anti-pollution booms at sea to prevent diesel fuel from leaking uncontrollably from the hull.
