Discussion and future for yachting professionals at Ypy Italy Summer Vibes 2025
The second edition of the event explored fundamental themes in yachting, creating connections and sharing among participants.

The second edition of Ypy Italy Summer Vibes, the annual event organized by Young Professionals in Yachting Italy, recently brought together young and established nautical industry professionals in Versilia to promote networking and explore key topics, in a discussion in the heart of one of the Mediterranean's most dynamic nautical districts.
Versilia was confirmed as the ideal destination for the event, the association explains, thanks to its combination of landscapes and a nautical ecosystem characterized by innovative shipyards and specialized companies. The program included a series of lectures and roundtable discussions, moderated by Arianna Bionda of the Polytechnic University of Milan. The discussions focused on two main areas of interest for the sector: the role of light in yacht design and the global challenges facing the yachting industry.
On the topic of lighting, experts such as architect Silvia Margutti (Luca Dini Studio), lighting designer Mirjana Nedeljkovic, and Ideaworks designers Paul Richardson and Caroline Jonnson explored the integration of technology and lighting onboard. Their contributions highlighted the growing transdisciplinarity in yacht design, where different specializations converge to address technological challenges.
The discussion on the global yachting industry featured leading figures in tax, commercial, and shipbuilding: Andrea Barbato (Moores Rowland Partners) discussed new customs and VAT taxation, and opportunities related to refitting in Italy, while Alessandro Diomedi (Moravia Yachting Monaco) shared international brokerage experiences and the impact of geopolitics on the industry. Francesco Frediani (Bellini Yacht), Gianni Paladino, and Alessandra Gaddi (Lusben) offered insights into construction strategies, new technologies, and emerging market scenarios; finally, Filippo Ceragioli (International University of Monaco and Politecnico di Milano) offered an overview of the changes reshaping the nautical market.
In addition to theoretical insights, the event offered hands-on learning opportunities, including a visit to the Lusben shipyard, which allowed participants to observe the yacht construction phases and interact directly with industry professionals.
Ypy Italy Summer Vibes fostered connection and sharing among participants. As Anna Borla, president of Ypy Italy, stated, the initiative was an opportunity to experience yachting as a vibrant and inclusive environment. "The event is establishing itself as a key event for young professionals, offering an opportunity to learn, build strong relationships, and actively participate in the evolution of the nautical industry," the association's statement concludes.
