The Bayesian has been brought back to the surface
The hull has resurfaced and is located just above the water between the two cranes. After recovery, it will be transferred to the port of Termini Imerese.

The Bayesian was raised afloat by Hebo's pontoon cranes to allow the slings to be secured. The hull now lies afloat between the two cranes. The Port Authority confirms that the vessel's complete recovery operations will begin tomorrow morning, starting at dawn.
The 56-meter sailing megayatch that sank on August 19th, remaining on the seabed outside the port of Porticello at a depth of approximately 50 meters, was brought to the surface after the 72-meter-tall mast was cut and is slung between the two crane barges, Hebo Lift 10 and Hebo Lift 2.
Before raising it completely above sea level, technicians must reinforce and increase the harnesses.
We recall that seven people died in the shipwreck, including the English tycoon Mike Lynch, and that three people are under investigation for this accident by the Termini Imerese prosecutor's office: the New Zealand captain James Cutfield, the engineer officer Tim Parker Eaton, and the sailor on watch Matthew Griffith, charged with multiple manslaughter and negligent shipwreck.
A second investigation was opened following the death of Dutch diver Rob Cornelis Huijben on May 9th during salvage operations. In this case, too, three individuals are under investigation for manslaughter and violation of workplace safety regulations. They are members of the Dutch company Smit Salvage, for which Huijben worked.
The complex operation to recover the sailing vessel involves the British consultancy firm TMC Marine, which is supervising the entire operation, the Dutch company Hebo for the use of floating cranes, and Smit Salvage, a world-renowned ship salvage company, also Dutch, which is actively collaborating in the operations.
