Wavecleaner Vac for rapid remediation of hydrocarbon spills
English company Wave International presents the updated version of the portable system for cleaning polluted water

Wave International presents Wavecleaner Vac, a portable solution for the rapid management of accidental surface spills of fuel and oil. It is designed to meet the needs of port operators, river authorities, and emergency services for use in ports, marinas, shipyards, and other high-risk areas. The new model is an evolution of the original Wavecleaner. Among its key innovations is a new skimmer equipped with a high-capacity pump with a flow rate of 22 liters per minute and a vertical lift capacity of 3 meters, allowing for rapid intervention even in hard-to-reach areas. The system can remove microplastics and other pollutants, returning only purified liquids with a maximum hydrocarbon content of 5 ppm to the water. This also eliminates the costs associated with disposing of contaminated liquids.
The device is powered by a rechargeable 12V DC battery and is completely portable, housed in a sturdy cage and transportable on a standard marine trailer. It is designed for single-person use, ensuring simple, rapid, and autonomous intervention in an emergency. "We developed this product by listening to those who work with the sea and inland waters every day," said Paul Gullett of Wave International. "With the Wavecleaner Vac, we offer a practical, efficient, and sustainable solution for spill management, avoiding the use of absorbent materials that are often difficult to handle and dispose of."
