Silent Yachts is preparing to complete its flagship, the Sy80 solar electric catamaran, marking a further step forward in the its growth strategy for 2025 which includes the launch of 10 vessels. The announcement follows the recent launches of the SY62 3-Deck Open and SY62 3-Deck Closed models, consolidating the presence of the Fano (Pesaro Urbino) shipyard in the segment of eco-friendly and technologically advanced cruising catamarans.

The 24-meter Sy80, according to the shipyard, incorporates the sustainability features that distinguish the Silent Yachts range, but expands them on a larger scale. The vessel is designed to accommodate up to 12 guests in an environment that combines style and high comfort, with a focus on Made in Italy quality. The interior layout offers wide open spaces, generous cabins, and considerable storage capacity for water sports equipment.

One of the distinctive features of the SY80 is its high flexibility; owners can choose between various deck configurations: 2 decks, 3 open decks, and 3 closed decks, adapting each area to their functional needs and aesthetic preferences. This versatility allows for unique configurations, transforming the desired concept into a concrete reality.

Like the SY62 models, the SY80 also offers the option of a spacious owner's suite on the main deck or an open-plan saloon, with the master cabin moved to the lower deck.

In terms of performance, Silent Yachts reports, the catamaran is at the top of its category, combining a notable ecological profile with cutting-edge technologies and a high level of comfort. “The Sy80 stands out for its efficiency, promising silent cruising with near-zero emissions.”

The vessel, capable of reaching a top speed of 12 knots and maintaining a comfortable cruising speed of 7-8 knots, is equipped with a battery system with a significant capacity of 522 kWh or 696 kWh, supported by a solar system with a peak power of 22,4 kWp.

The twin-deck version of the SY80 will be ready for its debut in the nautical industry at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2025, which will take place from 9 to 14 September 2025. The launch of the vessel, Silent Yachts announces, is scheduled for the coming weeks.
