Nicola Camuffo and Michele Lauriero have joined the board of management of Hydro Tec, the engineering and design firm founded in 1995 by Sergio Cutolo. Camuffo joins the company as Technical Director, while Lauriero becomes Chief Operating Officer. Both will work closely with the owners, particularly Sergio Cutolo, president and founder of Hydro Tec, to guide the company toward new goals of innovation and growth. The addition of the two engineers to key company roles will enhance Hydro Tec's expertise in yachting naval design and the implementation of new business processes, respectively, aimed at further improving efficiency and synergy between various operational areas.

Sergio Cutolo said: “In recent years, Hydro Tec has evolved its organizational model, moving from a professional firm to a fully-fledged, structured enterprise. Today, we can count on a highly qualified and diverse team, and we are continually expanding it. The addition of Nicola and Michele represents a key step in our growth and innovation journey, resulting in a strengthened structure that aims to offer a more specialized and integrated service to clients, shipyards, and owners, responding more effectively to the demands of an expanding market. In particular, their extensive shipbuilding and operational experience will provide added value for our shipyard clients, allowing us to support them in an even more targeted and effective manner. These appointments represent the first step in a broader corporate consolidation process we are pursuing. In the coming months, Hydro Tec will announce further strategic decisions to support the new organizational structure, confirming its commitment to growth and innovation in the sector.”

Nicola Camuffo's extensive experience includes serving as Technical Director at Tankoa Yachts, where he will be responsible for coordinating the technical office (which employs over 40 people across the company's various locations) and strengthening synergies between the various departments (engineering, design, and nesting). Camuffo said, "I am thrilled to join Hydro Tec at such a significant time for the company. Our industry is evolving rapidly, and my goal will be to leverage Hydro Tec's technical excellence. We will work collaboratively with all departments to consolidate our leadership position in the industry."

Michele Lauriero, meanwhile, has spent the past few years with Cantiere Navale Vittoria, where he was responsible for reorganizing and overseeing the company's internal operations, optimizing interconnection with the other divisions, Marine Nest and Yacht Engineering, structuring a new Project Management department, and leading the training of Project Engineers. Lauriero comments, "It's an honor to join Hydro Tec during this phase of extraordinary evolution and at such a challenging time for our industry. I will provide the company with all the expertise I've accumulated over the years to address the increasingly demanding market demands as a cohesive and competent group. The watchwords will be innovation, efficiency, quality, and excellence in our projects."
