Invictus ST550, a more livable bow for the new flagship made of elegance and innovation
What makes the Calabrian shipyard's model innovative is the large living area in the bow, which redefines the canons of exterior layouts in this market segment. Debuting at the 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival

The new flagship of the Calabrian shipyard Invictus Yacht is called Invicuts ST550, where “S” stands for “Space” and represents a new frontier in the distribution of space, the result of the creativity and ingenuity of designer Christian Grande.
At 16,87 meters long and 5,04 meters wide, this model required extensive research and development. While retaining the distinctive features that have made the Invictus brand famous worldwide, such as the characteristic semi-reverse bow, the Invictus ST550 draws inspiration from the allure of the classic Navetta, adopting softer, more rounded forms, resulting in a modern silhouette. It pays homage to the classic Navetta with stylistic elements such as the antenna body enhanced by a carbon fiber element that recalls the look of a funnel, and the option of choosing a polished mahogany finish for the furnishings instead of teak, combining elegance and modernity.
The pure and light exterior lines offer transparency that allows for sea views even from the bow, while the high bulwarks provide protection without weighing down the profile. The steel grille, positioned at the extreme bow, houses the illuminated logo, becoming a brand icon that recalls the elegance of the finest automobiles. The ST550 is a vessel designed to offer a high degree of comfort during long crossings, combined with the feeling of safety guaranteed by the protective bulwarks along the entire sidedeck. Its design expresses significant material complexity, thanks to the alternating and redundant use of steel, mahogany, teak, and bodywork.
“The concept of use has been taken from the classic shuttle,” explains Rosario Alcaro, general manager of Invictus Yacht, “offering the convenience of hosting a small group of guests in an exclusive setting for a classy cruise, focusing on the comfort and pleasure of the guests.”
One of the most significant innovations is the spacious living area in the bow, revolutionary for its market segment. This area, featuring a U-shaped sofa and a sundeck, becomes an exclusive, protected lounge, accessible even while underway. The combination of high bulwarks and the protection afforded by the glass windows allows for a visual connection with the sea, allowing for a true appreciation of the sea while also ensuring privacy in port.
"In contrast to the most common approaches, which involve sacrificing space on the main deck and forward to prioritize the stern," explains Rosario Alcaro, "we divided the spaces to maximize all three areas without sacrificing any for the benefit of the other. The result is that, while maintaining generous space in each area, we were able to ensure comfort throughout the vessel: main deck, stern, and forward. In the latter, in particular, we enhanced the layout, making it almost the most important area of a vessel designed for cruising in direct contact with the sea, in an almost private way, rather than experiencing it indoors or in the traditionally livelier stern area."
The cockpit features a living area, which can be equipped with every comfort (fridge, sink, grill), and a dining area that can be transformed into a sundeck over two meters long and deep. The sofa, independent of the other cockpit elements, creates the sensation of floating above the boat and the water. The fold-down bulwarks expand the floor space, eliminating visual barriers and enhancing the sense of connection with the sea. At the stern, the flush-fitting gangway facilitates boarding, while the large swim platform, which can be lowered below the waterline, allows for launching the tender. The ST550 also features a garage for a 2,8-meter jet tender. This garage stands out for its two-level opening: a full opening for launching the tender and a partial opening that allows access without disturbing the relaxation on the sundeck. A roller awning hidden in the superstructure provides shelter during the hottest hours, while a second awning installed on carbon struts is used at the bow.
The main deck features a lounge, a customizable galley, and the helm station, with large, fully electrically operated side windows and a glass aft door. A starboard side door provides the captain with easy access to the passageway while maneuvering. The interior spaces are naturally ventilated by a front flap that draws in air during navigation.
Below deck, Christian Grande designed two cabins (master and VIP) and two bathrooms: the master's, forward, is full-beam, while the one serving the second cabin also serves as a day toilet. Amidships, also below deck, is the large living area, which, at the owner's request, can be replaced with a third cabin and a galley. In the latter case, the standard galley on the main deck "disappears," further enlarging the living area.
A high level of finish and attention to detail characterizes every model produced by Invictus, thanks to the Invictus Atelier, which offers numerous color variations, equipment, and configurations. This allows considerable freedom of choice, allowing the customer to configure the boat according to their tastes and needs. Furthermore, the Invictus Atelier provides access to a network of specialized craftsmen and highly qualified suppliers. The customer is supported from the initial stages of the purchase and guided through a virtual laboratory, where they can design the boat with customized materials and dedicated equipment. The production boat thus becomes a tailor-made creation, capable of expressing the owner's personality, style, and tastes.
The official debut of the new Invictus Yacht flagship, which will be powered by twin IPS800 engines or, alternatively, twin IPS950 engines, is scheduled for the upcoming Cannes Yachting Festival, along with the brand's second flagship, the TT550. This event will mark a new phase of growth for the Aschenez Shipyards, which, just over ten years after their founding, have reached an important milestone.
