Three superyacht hulls built in Marghera landed in Ancona for fitting out

Ancona shipyards are organizing themselves by supporting the construction of their superyachts elsewhere to overcome the lack of space

Three superyacht hulls were unloaded yesterday morning from a platform arriving from Marghera onto the Ferretti shipyard dock. The hull skeletons, complete with superstructures, belong to a 54-meter Riva and two CdMs, one 33 meters and one 35 meters.

The three aluminum hulls were built in Marghera, as Gianluca Fenucci, president of Cnb Scarl, explained to SUPER YACHT 24. This consortium is part of an organization whose main shareholder is the construction and contracting shipyard Cpn, owned by the Belardinelli family, which manages the orders built outside Ancona.

The platform, with its cargo—completed between Wednesday and Friday—set sail from Marghera on Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m., arriving in the port of Ancona at 8:00 a.m. yesterday. From there, the Riva hull will be transferred to the Ferretti Shipyard within the next 24 hours, and the other two hulls will be transferred to the Cantieri delle Marche shipyard. Today, the three constructions will then be freed from their fastening systems and transported, using trolleys, to their respective warehouses to begin the outfitting phase; this phase represents the remaining two-thirds of the yachts' completion.

Work began in Marghera because Ancona lacks space to build this type of yacht. Years ago, as Fenucci explained, "Ancona had space for shipbuilding in the former Tubimar area, but then a fire destroyed the entire area, and now all shipyards are suffering from a severe shortage of space. With a view to collaborating with organizations and institutions, while waiting for the area to be reopened, to avoid missing out on the opportunities offered by the yachting market, shipyards are therefore seeking elsewhere. To this end, CNB has entered into a partnership agreement with Idromacchine of Marghera and Sea Dock of Trieste."
