Riccardo Carpanese, Marketing Director of Gruppo Boero, explained, "The project required a significant commitment, including specialized human resources: a dedicated team of collaborators engaged in the project, involving interdisciplinary profiles, including through focus groups, to design a proposal that would meet real professional growth needs. Marketing and communications consultants, management training experts, and designers supported us in defining a location and a proposal aligned with our values, which could establish a distinctive path. Our group recognized the growing need to integrate internal skills and those of the key players in the supply chains in which we operate, dedicating a central meeting place to this commitment, the Academy. What sets us apart from the norm in our industry is our desire to go beyond classroom training alone, but to transform our Academy into a place where, together with leading professionals and representatives of the relevant supply chain, it will be possible to reflect on current trends and development scenarios in the sector, in a process of mutual enrichment. Specifically, with regard to the yachting world, the needs of the supply chain are Globally, such as optimizing maintenance processes and reducing environmental impact. With our Boero LifeCycle offering, we are a partner that is always present throughout a vessel's lifecycle. Users worldwide can turn to our partners for maintenance services, offering a comprehensive and integrated range of solutions and services that aim to reduce drydocking frequency and adopt a more environmentally friendly and cost-effective approach. In addition to acquiring technical knowledge, today's market challenges also require increasingly solid communication, strategic, commercial, and management skills. Gruppo Boero Academy, with a range of cross-disciplinary and technical courses specifically for the yachting industry, aims to meet the industry's personal and professional growth needs. In terms of solutions, with a view to ensuring a bluer and more sea-friendly future, we have had our antifouling solutions, Magellan 630 Extra and Giraglia 633 Extra, verified by the Water Revolution Foundation, and they have been recognized as two of the most sustainable solutions. of the market, with a 20% lower environmental impact than standard antifoulings. We are also relaunching the Challenger Pro line, our Topcoat with which we aim to gain significant market share. To achieve this goal, we are focusing heavily on theoretical and applied training for the entire supply chain internationally."
"Gruppo Boero Academy is the result of a consolidated, forward-looking partnership between Gruppo Boero and the Valle Scrivia Science and Technology Park (PST), controlled by Finpiemonte, an institute funded by the Piedmont Region and a virtuous example of synergy and unity of purpose between the public and private sectors," explains Alessandro Beneventi, Technical and Purchasing Director of Gruppo Boero. "From a design perspective, all decisions were guided by our philosophy of positive impact. The new structure that houses Gruppo Boero Academy was built using our Isolareflex exterior system to ensure energy efficiency and thermal and acoustic comfort. Even when designing the interior spaces, great attention was paid to the impact of our choices. Recycled materials were selected for the seating and the false ceiling, while for the rest of the furnishings we used OSB panels made primarily from sustainably sourced wood. The LED lighting was designed to minimize energy consumption and heat loss. We thus also wanted to make the spaces of Gruppo Boero Academy a concrete example of what we believe in." Our group stands for 'Positive Impact'. Regarding the content we will develop within the Academy, the goal is to create an Innovation Hub that will further develop communities involving stakeholders in the paint supply chain in the broadest sense of the term, from designers/architects to applicators, from raw material and service suppliers to customers across various channels (particularly professional and DIY). This will also involve the entire scientific community supporting the supply chain, such as pure research companies and international certification laboratories.
