“Symmetry and Balance in the Interior of the Solaris 55” (VIDEO)
For Costanza Brusa of Adi Design Studio, the interiors of the new 17-metre vessel from the Aquileia shipyard stand out for their great construction quality and lines that help to lighten the majesty of the main bulkhead.

Düsseldorf (Germany) – The Solaris shipyard presented the new 55 which bears the signature of Argentine naval architect Javier Soto Acebal. At boot Düsseldorf, SUPER YACHT 24 spoke with Costanza Brusa of Adi Design Studio, who oversaw the yacht's interior design.
“One of the main aspects we worked on in the interior was the main bulkhead, which divides the saloon and the forward master cabin. The goal was to avoid the feeling of a continuous wall as much as possible, because the boat is very wide. We therefore divided the bulkhead into three sections, staggering the central one towards the stern instead of towards the bow, as in other Solaris boats. This solution also allowed us to insert LED lighting in continuity with the lines of the ceiling and accentuate the sensation of length in relation to width. The other new feature was to insert only two wall cabinets on the bulwark, three if we include the galley and chart table, working on the symmetry of the space. Symmetry is precisely the main concept we insisted on the most, leaving the structures exposed. We then made targeted stylistic choices, such as the two wall lights, for example, which give stability to the space without creating rigidity and trying to make everything more fluid. The layout of this model includes, on the starboard side of the saloon, only two armchairs, but a version with a more linear sofa is also available.” comfortable, without the table breaking it up. The chart table is spacious, designed to accommodate a large table while still retaining that feeling of longitudinal space. And the same is true in the forward cabin, where the ceiling follows the lines of the saloon all the way to the head of the bed. In this space, we took advantage of the width of the boat to create a lower and larger bed than usual, similar to those in a house. It was interesting to work with such a generous volume, giving it a symmetry and balance that are difficult to achieve on narrower boats. The whole thing is enhanced by Solaris's long tradition and construction expertise.”
