The nautical market and the Bénéteau Group's strategies. Interview with GianGuido Girotti – Video

Düsseldorf (Germany) – At Boot Düsseldorf 2025, we interviewed GianGuido Girotti, General Manager of the Bénéteau Group's Boats division, with whom we analyzed the nautical market trend in 2024 and the prospects for the future.

"2024," Girotti told SUPER YACHT 24, "was a year of post-Covid and post-crisis rebalancing of the supply chain, with demand stabilizing after a period of intense growth." The French group's manager then highlighted how the luxury motoryacht segment, particularly the Prestige brand, continued to experience growth in value and volume, while the more affordable sector, such as those with outboard engines, slowed. Italy maintained strong results, especially in medium and large motorboats and multihulls, although the entry-level segment encountered more difficulties.

Looking to 2025, Beneteau has a clear strategy: make boating more accessible with models like the First 30, expand its flybridge offering with smaller yachts, and launch new multihulls like the Lagoon 38 and Lagoon 82.

Another growing trend is the concept of boat clubs, a sharing model that allows access to multiple boats without the burden of ownership.

We also discussed sustainability: Beneteau invests in life cycle assessments for its boats and the development of advanced energy solutions, such as hybrid propulsion and fuel efficiency optimization through intelligent management systems. On the market front, the group continues to expand in the United States, while maintaining a solid position in the sailing and motor yacht sectors in Europe.
