Tuxedo 54, the 54-foot Italian walkaround built in aluminum
The first model was named "Forever Young." The yachting house of siblings Laura and Francesco Ceccarelli left plenty of room for customization on board.

The m/y Forever Young is the first Tuxedo 54, the first and only 54-foot Italian walkaround built in aluminum by the Tuxedo Yachting House shipyard, owned by siblings Laura and Francesco Ceccarelli. Their goal was to bring to market a boat that focuses on reducing environmental impact and promoting sustainability. This is true not only for the choice of construction material (which is also fireproof and more resistant to impacts), but also for the waterlines, which have been optimized to reduce fuel consumption.
This 16-meter open yacht has the largest beam in its class, 5,20 meters, and offers extensive customization options thanks to the aluminum, which requires no molds and lends itself to on-the-go modifications to every aspect of the boat, both interior and exterior, including the engine. The first unit is equipped with two Scania V-Drive inboard engines, each delivering 1.000 hp, allowing for a cruising speed of 32 knots and a top speed of 36 knots. The standard version, however, features 750 hp Scania V-Drive engines, allowing for a cruising speed of 27 knots and a top speed of 34 knots. The steering, power management, and trim control systems were supplied by the Quick Group, specifically by its parent company Xenta.
Also on board Forever Young are X-Steer, the Helm-by-Wire steering system in the Self-Centering version (the system is programmed to optimize the rudder's return to center after high-speed turns, in the most effective, fast and safe way); X-Dock, the Xenta joystick that offers the possibility of performing complex maneuvers simply and precisely; X-Power, the engine and gearbox control system that makes their management simpler and more effective. The Xenta system also includes X-Dp, the dynamic positioning system capable of keeping the boat steady and with the bow always oriented at the same compass degrees, without having to drop the anchor. The Quick Group supplied the Intercepta X intruder system, fully integrated with Xenta products, which optimizes the sailing trim and accelerates the hull's entry into planing. The onboard management electronics are entrusted to Mastervolt systems.
The owner of the first Tuxedo 54 chose a fully equipped vessel. Among other accessories, on board are a 14 kW generator, an 80 l/h watermaker, a lithium battery pack for hospitality services, four battery chargers, a bow thruster, a water pump, an inverter, a gyroscopic stabilizer, an isolation transformer, a diesel purification system, air conditioning, and much more.
The hull is constructed of a lightweight 5083 aluminum-magnesium alloy, the most resistant to seawater, and offers robust strength after welding. The deck is covered in Flexiteak, with stainless steel handrails on the sidedecks and on the helm station. The bow features a sundeck for four, while the aft cockpit seats 10 and converts into a sunbed. It is equipped with two drawer refrigerators, an electric bimini, and a cabinet with an ice maker, sink, and storage space.
The living area includes a dining area with a U-shaped sofa and a table with stainless steel legs. Facing it is a kitchenette equipped with a sink, induction hob, large custom refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker, as well as a retractable 43" smart TV and a Bose stereo system. The shipyard places great importance on ensuring abundant light and constant ventilation on board. The living area features a large windshield and opening side windows. There are also two electric side windows and two electric glass sunroofs, along with a transom door with independent double opening.
The interiors feature oak veneer, leather, and lacquer. The master cabin is forward and features a skylight with electric blinds to increase brightness, along with two side windows with opening portholes. The split-level guest cabin is located aft, to starboard, while the crew cabin is to port. The interiors can be climate-controlled thanks to a tropicalized air conditioning and heating system.
