The Aquila 50 Yacht motor catamaran will be available in Italy in July thanks to FC-Yacht.

Aquila Power Catamarans, a brand born from the partnership between Sino Eagle Group and MarineMax, presented the Aquila 50 Yacht at Flibs, a power catamaran that fits between the 54 Yacht and the 44 Yacht. Just a few weeks later, it's already a success, with ten models sold in just a few days following its official debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

European yachtsmen will be able to admire the Aquila 50 Yacht at the International Multihull Boat Show (April 23-27, 2025) in La Grande-Motte, France. The new model will then move to Sardinia, to the Italian dealer FC-Yacht, a company of the Cagliari-based Free Charter group. The catamaran will be available for charter and for prospective owners to visit at the Cannigione marina, in the heart of the Costa Smeralda. After the summer season in Sardinia, enthusiasts will be able to admire it at the 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival (September 9-14, 2025).

Even in Italy, there are already those who are looking forward to purchasing one. "The Aquila 50 Yacht has already found an owner thanks to our exclusive 'Rent-to-Buy' formula," explains Carlo Orione, CEO of FC-Yacht, "but reservations are obviously open for future production runs, with deliveries starting in January 2026. Aquila catamarans have many advantages over traditional monohulls, which are further enhanced in the Aquila 50 Yacht, starting with the fact that they were designed and built as motor cruisers. The waterlines and deck solutions are designed to meet the needs of motorboaters, while many competitor models are designs originally created for sailing and converted to motorboats."

Orione also features the livability of the Aquila 50 Yacht. "The master cabin is full-beam and on a single level," he adds, "so there are no steps, which are always dangerous on board, and it offers a volume comparable to a traditional monohull yacht over 30 meters long. Finally, I consider this size the best for those owners who don't want a crew but enjoy managing and sailing their boat themselves: the Aquila 50 Yacht is easily maneuverable, thanks to the bulbous bow that guarantees great stability even in crosswinds, while the two bow thrusters ensure perfectly controlled maneuvers even without a joystick."

The Aquila 50 Yacht exhibited at FLIBS was the three-cabin, three-head version, but the four-cabin, three-head version with a crew cabin, which can be replaced with a fourth, will arrive in Sardinia. A five-cabin, four-head version also completes the offering. The various layout options are matched by equally meticulous construction, thanks to the infusion technique, which has already allowed Aquila Power Catamarans to establish itself on the US market.

The guest cabins are designed with beds facing the sea, aligned with the windows, to offer a direct view of the surrounding environment; a solution previously only found on the Aquila 70 Yacht. The spacious and versatile flybridge, with an optional retractable awning, adds even more opportunities to enjoy al fresco cruising.

Propulsion is entrusted to a pair of Volvo Penta D6 turbodiesels of 480 hp each (alternatively two Yanmar of 550 hp each), capable of making the Aquila 50 Yacht sail at a maximum speed of 22 knots and a cruising speed of 18-19 knots.

The Aquila 50 Yacht has already found an owner thanks to the Rent-to-Buy formula, designed to make it easier for potential buyers to access the boat of their dreams. This means paying a deposit of 20-30% of the purchase price and committing to a monthly fee for use of the boat for ten weeks per year, with the option of becoming its full owner after seven years. During the periods in which the boat is available, Free Charter will take care of renting it, thus also covering mooring, maintenance, and insurance costs.

This isn't the only way to become an owner right away: Free Charter has developed two other purchase options. Recently, they launched Guaranteed Rent, which allows owners to choose from a wide range of Aquila catamarans, from 28 to 70 feet, by paying 45% of the purchase price and paying the balance of 15-20%, depending on the model, after four years. This is achieved through advance payment of the rent the boat can provide during the summer periods during which Free Charter undertakes to rent it. During the first four years, owners will have access to the boat for four weeks in the mid- and high-season, and then unlimited use from October 15th to April 15th. All management and mooring costs are covered by Free Charter.
