Superyacht Aurora collides with cruise ship Allure of the Seas
A viral video shows the incident that occurred in the port of Nassau, Bahamas. The yacht rammed into the large Royal Caribbean vessel, hitting the gunwale and lifeboats, and sustaining damage to the superstructure.
A control or engine failure may be among the causes of the accident captured in a viral video circulating online, showing the m/y Aurora colliding with the cruise ship Allure of the Seas, docked in the port of Nassau, in the Bahamas.
The scene was filmed by one of the passengers aboard the Royal Caribbean cruise ship, one of the largest in the world, which was docked at the time of the collision. The footage shows the pleasure boat getting closer and closer to the cruise ship. It's unclear what was happening with the yacht, which appears to be angled directly toward the ship, with at least one crew member walking on deck and realizing that impact was imminent.
The 414-ton yacht Aurora, built by Nordhavn in 2013, is 36,75 meters long and 8,51 meters wide. The ship collided with the 225.282-ton cruise ship. The Allure of the Seas is 362 meters long and has 18 decks; it can carry up to 6.800 passengers and over 2 crew members.

As the yacht passes, the top of the mast and one of the radar domes are knocked off and dangling backward. A passenger is heard calling to the yacht's crew: "Are you all right?"
The ship's captain advised that the departure from Nassau might be delayed as the cruise ship was due for an inspection, which revealed no serious damage, allowing it to cast off.
