Change at the top of San Giorgio Shipping and Yachting Services
Almost two years after the acquisition by IL Investimenti, managing director Fulvia Linari passes the helm to Fabrizio Multari
Nearly two years after its acquisition by IL Investimenti, a financial company owned by Genoese entrepreneur Giulio Schenone, San Giorgio Shipping and Yachting Services is undergoing a change in leadership.
"Our esteemed Managing Director, Fulvia Linari, has decided to conclude her career at SGS, effective December 31, 2024," IL Investimenti announced. "During her tenure," a statement reads, "Fulvia Linari played a key role in the development and growth of our company, guiding the firm toward consolidating its leadership position and prestige in its sector. Her dedication, expertise, and strategic vision have been instrumental in establishing San Giorgio as a benchmark in the recreational boating and related services sector. For this reason, we express our sincere gratitude for her dedication and for the successes we have achieved together."
At the same time, it was announced that, effective January 1, 2025, Fabrizio Multari will assume the role of General Manager of San Giorgio Shipping and Yachting Services. "This appointment represents an important step for the continuity and evolution of our company. Thanks to Fabrizio's extensive experience in the sector and his proven professionalism, we are confident that he will lead the company with determination and passion, continuing the excellence and commitment that distinguish us, while continuing to best meet the needs of our customers and business partners," stated the controlling shareholder.
Founded in Genoa in 2010 as a maritime agency primarily dedicated to the yachting market, San Giorgio opened an office in Portofino a few years later to offer its clients the same on-site service standards as its Genoa headquarters. The business subsequently expanded to include tax representation services for foreign yacht owners and the opening of a showroom in Marina Genova, called 'Soloportofino', dedicated to yacht and villa interiors.
