Italy holds 30% of the European market for Lagoon catamarans

Over half of the French shipyard's multihulls in Italy are sold by Nss Yachting, the third largest dealer in the world, which also uses them in its charter base at Marina Cala dei Sardi

Thirty percent of the European Lagoon catamaran market is Italian. This is what emerged from the Lagoon 2024 World Dealer Meeting, held in Marrakech on the occasion of the shipyard's 40th anniversary, where management presented an in-depth analysis of sales in the main geographical areas.

In the EMEA region, which includes Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, Italy remains a key market, contributing nearly 30% of total Lagoon sales. France and Spain follow with shares of less than 15%, while Turkey stands at 8%. NSS Yachting, the third-largest Lagoon dealer in the world and the largest in Italy, plays a key role in this figure. In addition to direct sales to owners, it also has a charter base at Marina Cala dei Sardi (Olbia), a marina managed by the company itself.

"We are extremely proud to represent over 50% of sales in Italy," said Simone Morelli, CEO of NSS Yachting. "This figure not only confirms our country's central role in the European panorama, but also our ability to anticipate the needs and meet the expectations of owners, as well as accompanying them on a journey that goes well beyond simple sales, offering tailor-made solutions and increasingly popular management programs."

Bolstered by the sales figures, Italy's leading dealer explains the reasons for this excellent result. "The success of Lagoon catamarans," added Morelli, "is attributable to an attractive and innovative design capable of meeting the expectations of the most discerning owners, as well as a constantly evolving model range. At the same time, the yacht charter market is experiencing significant growth and organization, with management programs that allow catamaran purchases to be combined with charter options, making the investment even more attractive and accessible. NSS Yachting was among the first companies to offer yacht management in Italy, and we have been distinguishing ourselves in this segment for years thanks to our internationally recognized professionalism."

In Marrakech, NSS Yachting received the "World's Best Customer Centric Initiative" award from Lagoon, a recognition that demonstrates the company's ongoing commitment to putting the customer at the center of everything they do. This achievement adds to the "Best European Dealer" award it has won for four consecutive years.
