Refits and repairs are worth over 495 million in Italy
Turnover from the provision of services on Italian vessels recorded a 15,6% growth compared to 2022

According to the data processed by the new edition of Nautica in Figures – Log, the statistical yearbook produced by the Confindustria Research Office Nautica In partnership with Fondazione Edison, the overall turnover of the refit, repair, and storage sector for 2023 is over €495 million (approximately 17,8% higher than in 2022). Since this is a service provision, this turnover is entirely generated by domestic production, with a slight bias toward foreign-flagged vessels (table 3.6). The distribution between services performed on EU and non-EU vessels is also fairly even, with a slight preponderance of the latter. Revenue from the provision of services on Italian vessels grew by 15,6% (table 3.7). Revenue from work on foreign vessels increased by 19,7%. The refit, repair and storage activities consist of the repair of the hull, interiors and entire pleasure craft and include ordinary maintenance, the refit connected to the total renovation of the vessel and the storage and shelter services of the units at land-based facilities, in addition to the necessary movement of the same.
