The seizure of the Lulworth, the world's largest vintage gaff cutter, has been confirmed.
The yacht is among the assets seized from Roman entrepreneur Gabriele De Bono and is now abandoned. It was built in Southampton, England, in 1920.

Built in Southampton, England, in 1920, the vintage yacht Lulworth is part of a €47 million asset seizure operation that the Guardia di Finanza completed on Wednesday, October 2, against Roman entrepreneur Gabriele De Bono.
This pleasure sailing vessel was built by the White Brothers Yard for owner Rochard H. Lee, who intended to use her in the British Big Class circuit. Between 1920 and 1930, she took part in 258 races, achieving 59 first-place finishes.
After her racing career, all trace of her was lost and in 1947 she was rescued from a junkyard by a couple of shipowners and brought back to the Whites shipyard.
She was found abandoned again in 2001 in La Spezia by the Dutch owner Johan Van Den Bruele who subjected her to a total restoration and in 2006 she also won an award for the best restoration.
Lulworth was already found and seized in 2020 in Tunisia and, after being temporarily entrusted to the Guardia di Finanza at the Gaeta Nautical School, it is now once again in a state of abandonment.
