The new Mangusta Oceano 52 “A deck above the rest” has been presented.
The yacht redefines the concept of the 500 GT segment with unprecedented features. The clean, bold lines convey an authoritative presence.

The new Mangusta Oceano 52 was unveiled in Monaco by Overmarine Group. The project, conceived by the shipyard's Engineering Office together with designer Alberto Mancini, who oversaw both the exterior lines and the interiors, "goes beyond the stylistic concepts already expressed on the previous Mangusta Oceano 39 and Mangusta Oceano 44 models."
The concept represents a modern yacht where form and function are expressed with an avant-garde style, capable of always guaranteeing visual contact with the sea and that sense of spaciousness and freedom of movement already present on the other yachts in the Mangusta Oceano series.
“The Mangusta Oceano 52 stands out for its strong choices, with decisive and clean lines that outline the proportions and forms of a mega yacht that expresses an authoritative, important and fascinating presence in the water, appearing as a yacht that appears much longer than 52 meters,” explained Alberto Mancini.
“After careful market analysis, we wanted to redefine the concept of the 500 GT segment with features never seen before on a vessel of this type, where innovation and modularity on all decks allow you to experience a Mega Yacht lifestyle,” added Stefano Arlunno, Mangusta President Americas, who directly followed the development with the technical office.
The design team's formal research has led to the development of a vessel capable of being modulated to offer the owner the space he or she dreams of for themselves and their "inner circle," where they can fully experience sailing and discover new destinations. This means being able to adapt and customize far beyond what is normally possible, which is why every Mangusta Oceano 52 can be considered a true one-off, with basic technical features of the highest level, as is customary for the Italian shipyard, which has so far distinguished itself in the production of yachts in which innovation, tradition, and quality have always been successfully combined," states the shipyard's statement.
The Mangusta Oceano 52 is a steel and aluminum displacement yacht, the first unit of which is currently under construction at the Overmarine Group shipyard in Pisa. This vessel displaces less than 500 GT, "with truly exceptional modularity."
Careful study of the glass surfaces and technical choices aimed at eliminating obstacles ensure – the note continues – “that on board this yacht one can experience the typical lifestyle of a 60-meter vessel, where the concept of in&out is expressed admirably thanks to the constant visual contact between the internal and external areas”.
The main deck is made almost entirely of glass, especially in the aft area, where the usual “trunks” are absent, in this case they are brought outside.
"A deck above the rest": these are Overmarine's words to describe one of the new features introduced with the Mangusta Oceano 52: the owner's suite on the upper deck, facing forward, creating a striking private space with a 180° view of the entire horizon. Floor-to-ceiling windows allow light and panoramic views to surround the owner, welcoming them into total relaxation. The suite leads to the entirely private outdoor deck, dominated by the large "Mangusta Signature" infinity pool. A staircase leads to the patio lounge on the main deck, an extremely versatile space that can be transformed from a gym to a lounge.
The main deck features two guest/VIP cabins, where the owner's suite is usually located, in a prime position with a view and plenty of light. For the other guests, the lower deck offers various four-cabin solutions.
The main specifications of this new Mangusta 52 Oceano are as follows: length overall 51,1 metres, beam 9,2 metres, Gt <499 Gt, main engine power: 2 x Mtu 12V 2000 M86 1700 HP @ 2450 Rpm (1268 kW), maximum speed at half load: ~ 16 knots, range at cruising speed: 4500 nautical miles.
“The owner is the protagonist of the final development of the project and the solutions proposed by the designers, where transparency and large open surfaces allow for the creation of very different solutions, have developed layouts that always focus on the pleasure of living on board.
A yacht designed to always offer a place where relaxation never comes without visual contact with the sea and where the gaze never encounters obstacles in its exploration of the interior spaces and the world outside. A sensory experience stimulated by the delicate tones of the furnishings, which enhance the volumes while always being bright, welcoming, and harmoniously connected with the exterior forms,” concludes the shipyard’s statement with this definition of the Mangusta Oceano 52.
