Sea trials for Ocean King's first Doge 400
The superyacht, equipped with a sophisticated propulsion system, is the largest built so far by the Venetian shipyard

Ocean King announces that its first Doge 400 is about to undergo sea trials before delivery to her owner.
Designed by the visionary Alessandro Lottici of Design aLOT, with interiors by Matteo Gottardo, “the Doge 400 represents the pinnacle of nautical engineering and luxurious comfort”. Furthermore, the shipyard explains, it is the largest vessel built to date by Ocean King and represents the epitome of Italian luxury and innovation.
The yacht measures 40,37 meters in length overall with a beam of 8,50 meters. Built with a full-displacement hull with a bulbous bow, the vessel uses robust materials such as steel (AH36) for the hull and light alloy (5083/6060) for the superstructure, with a gross tonnage of 428 GT.
The Doge 400's amenities are highlighted by its three spacious decks, with a swimming pool on the sundeck and a sumptuous beach area aft on the lower deck, designed with a wide side door equipped with a powerful crane, perfect for launching large tenders. The beach area also serves as a tender storage area while underway. When the beach area is in use, a second hidden crane on the main deck can efficiently retrieve the tender and stow it in the cockpit.
Powered by Man or Cat engines, each delivering 1450 horsepower, the yacht reaches a top speed of 16,0 knots and cruises comfortably at 13,0 knots. The Doge 400 has a remarkable range of 5.500 nautical miles when cruising at 10 knots.
The yacht accommodates 10 guests in five luxurious staterooms and supports a crew of seven in four dedicated cabins.
The yacht's technical prowess is further underscored by its sophisticated propulsion system, featuring S-class NiBrAl propellers designed for optimal comfort and efficiency. The yacht's impressive fuel capacity is 55.000 liters, while fresh water capacity is 15.000 liters, concludes the Ocean King statement.
