Ekka Yachts announces the purchase of Sanlorenzo's first 60-meter 1150Exp
Designed by Zuccon International Project, the explorer represents the fourth metal superyacht order with Sanlorenzo in the last three years.

Greek yachting company Ekka Yachts has announced the order of the first unit of a new series of Explorer Yachts and the largest Sanlorenzo explorer yacht commissioned to date.
For Ekka Yachts this is the fourth order for metal superyachts with Sanlorenzo in the last three years, including two 500Exp and a 44 Alloy.
The new 1150Exp will be an Explorer prototype designed by Zuccon International Project, ranging between 1150 and 1200 gross tons, measuring over 60 meters in length and 11,20 meters in beam. Its design spans five decks, "with unique privacy features never before seen on a Sanlorenzo superyacht."
The company reports that four of the explorer's five decks will be connected by a glass elevator, while the master suite will span the two upper decks. The foredeck will accommodate helipad access, and a 7,5-ton recessed crane located aft will allow a large pursuit vessel (10 meters or more) to be loaded aboard for long voyages. All other water toys (including a 7,5-meter main tender) will be neatly stored in a garage located in the foredeck, beneath the helipad.
The new explorer will feature a full-size beach club with fold-out terraces and a spa located on the lower aft deck, while a glass-bottom pool on the aft quarterdeck will flood the beach club with additional natural light.
The yacht will have six or seven cabins accommodating 14 guests; the entire main deck will be dedicated to indoor/outdoor entertainment and formal dining. The crew will consist of 14-15 people.
The yacht will be built to Lloyds Class for commercial operations and will be offered for charter upon delivery. Project management will be handled by Ekka Yachts in collaboration with the Greek owner's experienced team, who have already commissioned a new build superyacht from Sanlorenzo.
"We are thrilled to have secured such a significant order for Sanlorenzo, which marks our largest new build to date and the largest order of Sanlorenzo Explorer Yachts ever. We are grateful to the owner for entrusting himself to our brokerage services for the second time and for demonstrating foresight and determination in undertaking this project after months of commercial and technical negotiations with the builder," said Dimitris Kyriazakos, Managing Director of Ekka Yachts.
"Special thanks," concludes the Greek company, "go to the Sanlorenzo superyacht division team (Gabrielle Stella, Stefania Delmiglio, Ferrucio Rossi, and Fabiano Ciampolini) and the owner's in-house legal and technical teams for their dedication in completing this important milestone. The parties were assisted by Clyde & Co and Watson Farley & Williams Greece in the yacht's construction contract."
